Surt's general weakness is the Ice Affinity while being resistant to the Gun, Fire, and Nuclear affinities. However, the Jack-o'-Lanterns he spawns will be weak to Gun, Ice, and Wind but share the same affinity to Fire.

If you were able to get your hands on Yusuke on his latest banner, the Surt fight should be cleared quickly as its special effects perfectly coincide with Bui. This team is composed of Fox, Mont, Marian, and Puppet! These are their roles during the battle:
- Fox: He will be your primary DPS as his counterattacks are considered as Resonance, providing you additional damage.
- Mont: She will be your secondary DPS as her follow-ups are considered as Resonance.
- Marian: Increases the survivability of your team by a significant amount while decreasing all foes' final damage by 60% since she is a Medic.
- Puppet: Provides additional support by giving the team shields, which Fox scales off of.
For Wonder, equip him with Norn to provide the team with additional shields and inflicting Windswept for more damage. Additionally, having Kushinada should give the max Harmony for Ice while getting access to Matarukaja!

Choose Ice Characters
Surt is weak to Ice Damage, meaning it would be best to use Characters with the Ice affinity. When this is paired alongside the innate increase to Ice Damage, you will surely rack up a significant amount of points!
Choose Characters With Resonance
Additionally, Resonance attacks, also known as follow-up attacks, have a 50% increase to their damage. Characters such as Fox and Mont should be the perfect duo to get the most amount of points against Surt.
