Pokémon Champions Release Date Announced During Pokémon Day February 2026

Launching April 2026 for Nintendo Switch

Pokémon Champions' release date was just revealed during Pokémon Day February 2026, set for April 2026 on Nintendo Switch, with its mobile version launching later this year. Players who will download the game in advance will receive a Dragonite, which will appear in their in-game mailbox.

Building on the Mega Evolution excitement from Pokémon Legends: Z-A, trainers can acquire even more Mega Stones to jump-start their journey in Pokémon Champions. At launch, players who transfer their Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja, or Eternal Flower Floette from Legends: Z-A via Pokémon HOME will be eligible to receive their respective Mega Stones.

Linking Pokémon Champions with Pokémon HOME allows players to bring certain Pokémon into the game as visitors. Should these Pokémon possess moves not supported in Pokémon Champions, they must be taught a new moveset via in-game training.

It is important to note that while Pokémon can visit Pokémon Champions from Pokémon HOME, those caught natively in Pokémon Champions cannot be transferred back to HOME

New Trainers

Upon entering Pokémon Champions for the first time, players are greeted by a variety of friendly faces dedicated to helping them prepare for battle. Tatora helps trainers get into the swing of things by facilitating entry into various competitions, while Kitt assists with partnering up with new allies at Roster Ranch.

To sharpen their skills, players can turn to Cordy, who shares advanced strategies for the arena. Finally, trainers will encounter Caraway and Kajima as they make their way into the heart of the Battle Arena.

Nintendo has yet to provide a deeper look at these characters, and it also remains to be seen how significantly they will influence players’ journey to become the very best in the franchise's official unified multiplayer title.

Pokémon Champions is set to be released in April 2026 on Nintendo Switch, and later this year for Mobile devices (iOS and Android). To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below!
