When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Halloween Kellam will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Halloween Kellam are +Atk and -Spd. Atk is a key stat at base 46 and investing into it may give Kellam the extra power he needs to secure knockouts.
+Def is also a good boon if focusing on a defensive build to utilize Halloween Kellam's fantastic Def stat.
Spd is the bane of choice, as it is only at base 31. Investing into it through a boon and skills won't be enough to have Halloween Kellam keep up with all the speedy metagame units. Additionally, even with a bane, Halloween Kellam can still outspeed the slow units in the metagame.
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Halloween Kellam up to +10 to maximize his damage output.

Halloween Kellam is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Halloween Kellam's inheritable weapon Farmer's Tool+ grants a visible Atk/Def+6 bonus to himself and his nearby allies at the start of each turn.
In combat, Farmer's Tool+ grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+X, where X is 4 plus the highest bonus on each stat between Halloween Kellam and his nearby allies.
This modified Bonus Doubler effect turns Halloween Kellam into a nice stat stick unit, making him versatile all around.
Halloween Kellam's physical bulk is very impressive with his base 48 HP and base 48 Def. He will excel at a physical tank role with these stats.
Halloween Kellam's Spd is a bit lacking though, at only base 31, but this isn't too big of a deal when Kellam is barely taking any damage from physical hits.
Halloween Kellam's base Spd and Res are sitting at only base 31 and 27 respectively, making him susceptible to fast mages or dragons that can create follow-up attacks.
Keep him away from these units to ensure his survival!
Halloween Kellam takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Slaying Hammer+, Randgríðr, or Thani, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
