Winter Manuela is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Just by being near her allies, Manuela gets a substantial power boost!

If Winter Manuela is within 2 spaces of an ally, Winter Rapier+ grants hier +5 Atk/Def and converts penalties on Atk/Def and turns them into bonuses. It is a pretty simple trigger condition and it is almost impossible to have trouble keeping it online.

This makes Winter Manuela an effective unit against layouts in Aether Raids that makes use of tons of debuffs.

Since this takes her weapon slot, you can get another Unity skill on her A slot. This build will emulate a Fallen Ike-like kit, but without Distant Counter.

Despite being a demote, Winter Manuela possesses a very valuable skill in Special Fighter 3

Special Fighter 3 grants Winter Manuela +1 special cooldown charge if she is ≥ 50% at the start of combat. Additionally, it also inflicts -1 cooldown charge on enemy per attack. This allows her to activate the powerful Ignis more often, and makes it hard for the enemy to activate their Specials, which is extremely helpful for harder maps like Grand Hero Battles or competitive maps like Aether Raids.

Armored Movement!

Winter Manuela enjoys the high stats of an armored unit, but this means that she suffers from armored movement as well. Without the use of proper Sacred Seals like Armored Boots and skills like Armored March 3, she will be crippled by very limited movement. It will be most likely that the enemy will get to her first before she is able to initiate.

Weak to Armor Effective Weapons

Winter Manuela takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Armorslayer+ or Hammer+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
