How to Get to Hyrule Castle

# Step by Step Objectives
1
Head to the Bottom of the Well
After defeating the enemies near the houses in Hyrule Castle Town, place an echo that can be used as a platform in front of the well and jump inside it.

At the end of the path, Tri will create an opening, allowing you to enter Stilled Hyrule Castle Town.
2
Make Your Way Through Stilled Hyrule Castle Town
Follow the path towards the castle and defeat the enemies you meet along the way. The path is linear initially, until you reach the waypoint and buried treasure chest, at which point you need to scale walls of water to progress.

Once you reach the top, the entrance to Hyrule Castle will come into view.

Find the King of Hyrule

# Step by Step Objectives
1
Defeat the Darknut
After entering the castle and activating the waypoint, head up the stairs and through the corridor. Defeat the lone Darknut enemy waiting for you using your Echoes, and make sure to also learn the Darknut's Echo after defeating it!
2
Find the King
Continue north from the Darknut encounter to find the King of Hyrule frozen in place, which will also trigger a dialogue from Tri, prompting the urgency to rescue those within Hyrule Castle.
3
Lift the Throne
Attach yourself to the Throne and move it to the side to reveal a hidden path leading to the Castle's Underground.

Navigate Hyrule Castle B1

# Step by Step Objectives
1
Enter the B1 Maze
Upon descending the ladders, activate the nearby Waypoint, then attach yourself to the stone wall to reveal the entrance to the B1 Maze.
2
Make your way through the Maze
The B1 Maze can be quite tricky due to the guards patrolling the area. You can either avoid the guards by staying out of their line of sight, or quickly progressing through the maze by using the shelves!
3
Head to the end of the path
After exiting the maze, there will be a short corridor you need to pass through. Use the Trampoline Echo to scale the shelves, and make your way to the end, where a waypoint and a ladder towards B2 awaits you.

CheckmarkThrow Pots to distract Guards

While making it through the maze while avoiding the guards is an option, it can be quite tedious and frustrating if you get caught multiple times.

Stacking Beds to use as steps to reach the top of the Shelves is a great alternative, since most guards cannot reach you from below!

While you are on top of the shelves, you can then use the Flying Tile echo to move from one shelf to another, allowing you to make your way through the maze much faster.

Towards the end of the maze, there will be a guard standing directly in front of the entrance, which you can distract by throwing pots to make it move away from its post.

Navigate Hyrule Castle B2

# Step by Step Objectives
1
Defeat the Darknuts
Upon descending the ladder, you will find yourself in a sidescroller area, similar to the path towards B1. Defeat the Darknuts using your Echoes to unlock the path leading to the next area.

Defeat the enemies and open the chests before heading down towards Hyrule Castle B2.
2
Light the Braziers
Use the Ignizol Echo to light the Four Braziers found on this floor. The first one can be found right beside the door, and can be ignited by simply shooting an Ignizol towards it.

The second and third can be lit by climbing the ladder and shooting at them. The fourth and last brazier can be ignited by shooting an Ignizol towards the platform, then connect to it to drag it towards the Brazier.
3
Defeat the Gustmasters
Upon entering the next room, defeat the Gustmaster by shooting arrows at it while it is closed. You can also collect its echo after by using the Flying Tile echo to reach its platform.

Two more gustmasters can be found after, which you can either defeat, or simply pass through.
4
Scale the Wall
Once you reach the last Gustmaster, you must then scale the wall in front of you to reach the next area. You can stack Beds on top of each other to serve as steps to reach the top safely.
5
Make your way Across
At the top, you simply need to make your way across the gap, which can be done easily by using a Flying Tile echo. This will lead you to a room with a Waypoint, and the locked boss room.

Get the Small Key

# Step by Step Objectives
1
Head to the West Room
From the waypoint, enter the room to the west to make your way towards the first Key. Defeat the enemies, then swim across to make your way down the ladder in the middle of the room.

The maze's exit can be found by heading all the way to the left, then finding the path that leads upward from there.
3
Sneak past the Guards
After making it through the maze, the next area will be filled with Patrolling Guards, similar to the Maze from B1.
4
Press the Button
Make your way to the top of the pillars using Echoes, and step on the button on top of one of the pillars to reveal the chest in the middle of the maze. Take the Small Key from the Chest before leaving the area.

This miniboss can be found in the eastern room from the Boss Door, accessible after obtaining the Small Key.

Use Bombs to Fight From a Distance

Ball-and-Chain Trooper swinging its weapon

The Ball-and-Chain Trooper will swing its weapon around while moving, making it difficult to approach and attack from close range. Instead, use Bomb echoes like Bombfish and throw it to defeat the Ball-and-Chain Trooper and the two Darknuts with it.

Hyrule Castle Boss: Ganon

Ganon Strategy

Attack Ganon from Behind

attacking Ganon from behind

One of Ganon's common attacks is when he spins his staff, blocking projectiles from the front. During this time, Ganon's back is exposed, allowing you or your echoes to deal damage against him by striking from behind!

Spawn Boomerang Boarblins

summoning Boomerang Boarblins against Ganon

Boomerang Boarblins attack from a distance, allowing them to safely deal damage to Ganon regardless of which attack he does.

The spawned Boarblins also attract Ganon's aggro during the fight, allowing you to worry less about dodging projectiles!

Deflect the Sphere to Weaken Ganon

deflecting Ganon

During the third phase of the Ganon fight, it is important to deflect the sphere whenever Ganon launches it, since it has the capacity to weaken Ganon if the attack connects.

The timing can be tricky, since Ganon will also parry it back towards you, but staying away from Ganon during this attack should give you ample time to react against the Orb.
