Echoes of Wisdom's core mechanic revolves around getting creative with Echoes. An expansion pass will more than likely add new Echoes into the game, with an additionally possibility of increasing Tri's maximum power.

With this in mind, Max Cost Echoes could be a new addition, allowing powerful Echoes of Bosses to be summoned.

New Automatons

Automatons are summonable gizmos that has a mechanized appearance of an enemy. An expansion pass may add new automatons in the game— mimicking other enemies instead— such as:

• Bird Automaton - performs a carpet bombing in a straight line when thrown
• Spider Automaton - shoot stringshots at multiple enemies and pull them to its location
• Urchin Automaton - sticks to an enemy when thrown and explodes after a short duration; when landing on a terrain, remains in place and explodes upon enemy contact

Mysterious Sword Upgrade

Following Breath of the Wild's ability upgrades from its DLC, Echoes of Wisdom Expansion Pass may drop an upgrade to Zelda's Swordfighter Form.

The Breath of the Wild DLC featured a lower cooldown time for the Divine Beast powers obtained. Following that pattern, the Mysterious Sword upgrade may feature a longer duration and/or a higher maximum energy.

An Expansion Pass may include new clothing and outfits for Zelda to wear. The additional outfits may feature designs reminiscent of characters from other Nintendo titles, such as: Xenoblade Chronicles, Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and Bayonetta.

There is a possibility that new smoothie ingredients and recipes may be added into the game. The new ingredients may be obtained from treasure chests from new monster camps, or may come from an entirely new area.

A new function may be added as well, where recipes requiring three specific ingredients are added. These recipes may or may not include the new ingredients, and all have powerful effects and potent buffs.

New Area and Puzzles

As the Breath of the Wild DLC featured a new dungeon, Echoes of Wisdom Expansion Pass may feature a new area where the new Echoes can be learned, new Automatons can be obtained, and may contain the quest needed to upgrade the Mysterious Sword as well.

The new area may possibly contain a new town where Dampe can be found, a Business Scrub featuring the new smoothie recipes, and a dungeon containing novel puzzles in addition to the items needed to create the new inclusions the DLC incorporated into the game.

Additional Difficulty

The Breath of the Wild DLC introduced Master Mode, where enemies feature new attack patterns and can regenerate health. The enemies additionally possesses higher damage and are made to be more difficult to defeat.
