Bind is a mechanic in Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that allows Zelda to have an object follow her movements and vice versa. This can be useful when moving large boulders and unearthing treasures. Learn more about how to use bind in here!
Binding to an object, enemy, or echo will force it to follow Zelda's movements. Use this ability to your advantage by clearing obstacles, unearth treasures, displace enemies, and even weaponizing echoes.
Reverse Bond will bind Zelda to an object, following the object's movement instead. Utilizing this ability can enable traversal across impassable trenches, take flight, scale trees and cliffs, and create a method for faster roaming across the world.
If you use Bind on an enemy defending with a shield, you can pull the shield towards you, effectively removing the enemy's defense. Enemies like the Sword Moblin Lv. 2 can have their shields removed by using bind on them.
For some enemies, you can use bind on them to lift and hold them in place, while your Echoes freely deal damage against them.
If the enemy can be lifted with bind, you can also drop them in a nearby body of water, essentially forcing them to drown.
This method can become pretty useful in cases where you need to deal with an enemy quickly, and a body of water is nearby, eliminating the need for you to rely on Echoes or Swordfighter Form to defeat the enemy.
Tri will teach Zelda how to use Bind once the pair reaches Suthorn Ruins as part of the main quest The Mysterious Rifts.
Both Bind and Reverse bind will be unlocked as you progress within Suthorn Ruins, so you do not have to worry about missing it.
