Spinning allows you to cut through grass in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW). Read on to learn how to spin and improve your spinning capabilities in this guide!
Key | Function |
---|---|
R | Spin |
Pressing the R button will unleash Zelda in a spinning motion. It does not deal damage to enemies, as spinning is mostly used to cut grass and parry enemy projectiles.
As mentioned, spinning is generally used to clear grass within Zelda's vicinity. Cutting grass can reveal some loot such as Rupees and Hearts, encouraging players to further explore their surroundings.
Equipping the Fairy Flower outfit and Fairy Fragrance accessory will increase your chances of finding Fairies when cutting grass. Fairies can be used to recover hearts and even revive Zelda.
While spinning cannot inflict damage on enemies, it can be used to parry enemy projectiles. Time your spins just as you're about to get hit by a projectile to successfully parry it.
If you catch on fire, spinning rapidly will extinguish the flames much faster. This is especially useful in hot areas and against fire-type enemies.
Mango Rush is a minigame where the player has to harvest mangoes as fast as they can within a certain time limit. Echoes can be used to harvest mangoes, but spinning will get the job done faster. Equip the Dancing Outfit to increase your spin area and widen your harvesting coverage.
Dancing Outfit | Effect: Increases your spin radius |
---|
Equipping the Dancing Outfit increases your spin area, expanding your coverage when cutting grass and harvesting mangoes in Mango Rush minigame. Dancing Outfit is given as a reward for completing the hardest difficulty of Mango Rush.

Spin Brace | Effect: Knockback Spin |
---|
The Spin Brace accessory adds a knockback to Zelda's spin. It still cannot deal damage to enemies, but is effective at pushing away foes to give yourself some space. The Spin Brace can be found in a treasure chest located east of Scrubton.
