Rifts in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW) are encountered during main quests, side quests, and while exploring Hyrule. Here's a list of all Rift locations in Hyrule and how to access them, including rifts unlocked in side quests and optional rifts.

These Rifts are encountered during the Main Quests and are required to progress the story. Some Rifts serve as a connecting path to Dungeons that are a direct requisite to clear the main quest.

Some Rifts can only be entered when their respective Side Quests have been started. Trigger side quests around Hyrule to discover more Rifts that require mending.

These Rifts are entirely optional and are not required to progress the main story. While not mandatory to do, mending these Rifts can still increase Tri's power to unlock higher costs and acquire Echo discounts.
How to Increase Tri's Power Level
Rifts grant a passageway to The Still World where fragments of the land and the people of Hyrule float in the void and eventually fade away.
After completing quest objectives, Tri will open up a light portal from the dark rift allowing Zelda to jump into it.
The areas swallowed by the rift contains the dungeons that you explore to progress through the main story.
