Echoes with ★ are the best options for the fight.
Use ranged and flying Echoes to alleviate the terrain disadvantage and damage Volvagia as they relocate. Volvagia's positions tend to be far apart, hence, attacking from afar with ranged Echoes can deal some damage before getting closer to use Bind or the Sword of Might.

Approach Volvagia and pull on its Green Orb with Bind. Successfully pulling the Green Orb shatters the orb and stuns Volvagia, creating an opportunity to deal damage.
When the Green Orb shatters, it creates a short window of opportunity to deal damage. Immediately summon powerful Echoes and enter Swordfighter Form to deal as much damage as possible.
Swordfighter Form Upgrade Order
Use Bind on the Ball-and-Chain Trooper and bring it closer to Vovlagia to bypass the lava. The Trooper can inflict multiple hits of damage as it spins its weapon overhead, followed by a quick burst of damage when it throws its weapon.
Ball-and-Chain Trooper Echo Location
Use the Bow of Might to deal damage from afar and shoot Volvagia as they fly overhead. It is recommended to upgrade the Bow of Might to at least Lv. 2 with Might Crystals to unlock spreadshot, allowing hitting Volvagia with three arrows at once.
When damage has been received from Volvagia's attacks, break the pots scattered around and pick up hearts to heal.
