Techtite	Complete the Automaton Engineer Dampe Quest	• Tektite Echo. Can be found hopping around the waters of Seesyde Village. • Mothula Echo. Can be obtained in the Gerudo Sanctum 2F after getting the Snake Statue echo.
Tocktorok	Complete the Explosions Galore Quest	• Octorok Echo. Located at the north of Suthorn Forest village. • Blastpowder Soil. Unlock from The Fireworks Artist
Gizmol	Complete the Performance Artist Quest	• Zol Echo. Zol can be found in Suthorn Forest • Prismatic Music Box. Obtained from clearing the Flag Racing Minigame.
High-Teku Baba	Complete the Endless Stomach Quest	• Deku Baba Lv.2. Can be found southeast of the Scrubton Smoothie Shop in Stilled Heart Lake. • Steel Trap. Can be unlocked from the Acorn Gathering Minigame.
Roboblin	Complete the Chop 'em in Two Quest	• Sword Moblin Echo. Can be seen roaming around Eastern Hyrule Field. • Heirloom Katana. Obtained from Slumber Dojo Minigame.
Goldfinch	Complete the Get Rich Quick Quest	• Crow Echo. Can be seen in Suthorn Forest. • Golden Fan. Unlock from Mango Rush Minigame.

How to Use Automatons

Press the Left D-Pad to Summon an Automaton

Players can toggle between Automatons and Echoes to summon with the Left and Right D-Pad buttons. Press the Left D-Pad to summon an Automaton, and hold the Left D-Pad to switch the Automaton to use.

Controls Guide

Press Y to Wind Up the Automaton

Press the Y Button when near an Automaton to activate it. Note that Automatons will remain stationary unless activated, and winding an Automaton can leave Zelda vulnerable.

Twisty Smoothies have Twisted Pumpkin as its base that grants the Winding Speed Up effect in smoothies, which reduces the time required to activate an Automaton.

Equip Clockwork Bangle

Clockwork Bangle	Effect: Winding Speed Up

The Clockwork Bangle accessory grants the Winding Speed Up effect without the use of Smoothies. It can be obtained after acquiring all Automatons and speaking to Dampe.

Summon in Combat

Automatons are gizmos with unique combat properties that vastly differentiates itself from Echoes. These are crafted by Engineer Dampe, a recurring character in the series who was a gravekeeper in the previous titles.

Use Monster Stones to Repair Automatons

Damaged Automatons can be repaired using Monster Stones, obtained as a rare drop from enemies, chests, or as rewards from side quests and minigames.

Like Echoes, the Automatons won't be in the battlefield for long as they have limited health and will be destroyed if they take too much damage.

How to Unlock Automatons

Clear the Automaton Engineer Dampe Side Quest

Automatons will become available after completing the Automaton Engineer Dampe side quest. Fast travel to the waypoint north of Hyrule Ranch and head east into Hyrule Field. A cutscene will trigger with Dampe and a Crow.

Complete Still Missing to Unlock the Side Quest

The Automaton Engineer Dampe side quest becomes available after the events of the Still Missing main quest.
