The Prime Energy and Null main quest appears after you completed mended all the rifts in Eldin Volcano, Holy Mount Lanayru, and Faron Wetlands as part of the Lands of the Goddesses main quest.

After mending the rifts at Eldin Volcano, Holy Mount Lanayru, and Faron Wetlands you will be transported to Zelda's room in Hyrule Castle after a cutscene. From there, The Prime Energy and Null main quest will automatically unlock. |

From Hyrule Castle, head northwest until you reach a waypoint that leads to a forest with blue fog. |

Once you enter the Eternal Forest, head north until you come across another waypoint within the forest. Activate the waypoint and approach the soldiers that are lying down nearby. |
3 | After the cutscene ends, inspect the stone tablet. This causes the stone tablet to rise up, spawns a floating orb on the left side, and updates The Prime Energy and Null main quest. Use the Tri Rod on the orb to learn the Ancient Orb Echo. |

Spawn an Ancient Orb Echo and place it on the pedestal south of the stone tablet. You will need to find the 5 remaining pedestals in the forest and place an Ancient Orb on each of them. |

First Pedestal: From the stone tablet, head southwest and find the yellow Deku Baba on top of the pedestal. Defeat the Deku Baba and place an Ancient Orb on the pedestal. |

Second Pedestal: From the first pedestal, head east and find the second pedestal on an elevated terrain. |

Third Pedestal: Head to the southwestern corner of the Eternal Forest and find the pedestal on an elevated terrain. |

Fourth Pedestal: From the third pedestal, head east and find the pedestal on the fork in the road near the large tree. |

Fifth Pedestal: From the fourth pedestal, head east to find the fifth pedestal on a corner and a treasure chest nearby. |
7 | Warp back to the Waypoint near the large stone tablet and interact with it to create a new pathway. Head north and talk to the Deku Tree and enter the Ancient Ruins. ▶︎︎ Rescuing the Hero Link Walkthrough |
Head north and watch the cutscene that plays out. Interact with the glowing yellow triangle after to enter the Stilled Ancient Ruins.

1 | After traversing the Stilled Ancient Ruins, you will face Shadow Zelda. Defeat this mini-boss to rescue Link. ▶︎︎ How to Beat Shadow Zelda |
2 | After defeating the boss, activate Swordfighter Form and use the bow and arrow to destroy the crystal to free Link. Doing so completes the Rescuing the Hero Link main quest. |
How to Complete | |

1 | After rescuing Link, talk to him to give his weapons back. Tri asks another confirmation if you want to enter the rift inside as this is a point of no return. Select "I'm ready". |
2 | Follow Link and enter the door on the north until you reach a room that will spawn enemies. Defeat all the enemies to open the locked doors. |
3 | You'll get split up by a wall of thorns in the next room, so take the path to the right while still following Link from the other side. Use a Beamos Echo to hit the purple orb on the right side to unlock both doors for you and Link to enter. |
4 | Defeat all the enemies in the next room. Spawn Fire Wizzrobe Echo or Lizalfos Echo to distract the group of enemies in your area and wait until Link assists you with ranged attacks. |
5 | Use Reverse Bond on the moving platforms to reach the next area. Use the Crawltula Echo to spawn a climable stringand go to the next room. |
5 | Use the Flying Tile Echo to cross geysers and use the Platboom Echo to gain height. Time your jumps to when the geyser goes out to float towards platforms and use the Platboom Echo again to make your way to the exit. |
6 | Enter the room on the right and help Link reach the pressure plate on the opposite side. Bind Link and get close enough for him to be placed on the edge of the platform before unbinding, and letting him get through the web and stand on the pressure plate. |
7 | Follow Link as you head north of the area. Jump down to the pit and watch the cutscene that follows. |
