Gerudo Tag Training Walkthrough

Beat the Gerudo Soldier in Tag

This quest is fairly straightforward. Your main objective is to chase down the Gerudo Soldier and tag them. You can use any Echoes you want to block the soldier's path and slow them down (though it's possible to do it without any at all).

Once you've caught the Gerudo Soldier, you'll receive your reward and complete the quest.

How to Win Tag

Best Echoes to Block the Gerudo Soldier's Path

Echo	Description
Decorative Shrub	An ornamental plant hardy enough to support a person on its bushy leaves.
Boulder	A hard rock that's very heavy, but you can move it if you really push.

To make the chase easier, you can summon Echoes to block the Gerudo Soldier's path. Use a large Echo, such as a Boulder or a Decorative Shrub, to prevent the soldier from climbing over them.

Block the Gerudo Soldier's Path

The Gerudo Soldier also stops occasionally. Use this to your advantage by blocking any escape routes before making your tag-winning move.

The easiest way to block the Gerudo Soldier is near the stairs by Gerudo Palace. At the start of the game, push the soldier toward that spot, then summon Boulders on the stairs to block the southern path. If you run out of Triangles, use the Gerudo Pots in the area to fill in the gaps. With the path blocked, move around quickly and tag the Gerudo Soldier from the opposite side.

Trap the Gerudo Soldier in a Corner

Alternatively, you can trap the Gerudo Soldier in the southern corner of Gerudo Town, just below the starting point. Once they stop at the corner, summon at least three object Echoes to block their escape route to the north.
