The titular character finally becomes playable as you navigate dungeons and explore Hyrule as Princess Zelda herself. She will be accompanied by a mysterious fairy known as Tri throughout her journey.
Echoes of Wisdom will feature more access to movement for a top-down game. It is a welcome surprise given that the 2019 remake Link's Awakening, which shares the same visual style and gameplay, is only restricted to a grid map.
The game takes a cue from both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom where fire can set things ablaze and metal can conduct electricity.
These feature urges players to be more creative on how they make items and their surroundings interact.
The mysterious fairy known as Tri will bestow you the ability to summon Echoes, which are tangible constructs made from the echoes of real things you've encountered in your journey.
Echoes will not be limited to lifeless constructs, as you will also be able to construct Monster Echoes based on the enemies you've fought in the game.
Princess Zelda can use the Swordfighter Form after acquiring the Mysterious Sword.
The Swordfighter Form allows her to perform close-range combat, while also equipping her with Link's iconic hat and tunic.
How to Use the Swordfighter Form
Automatons are robotic gizmos invented by Dampe that have unique abilities when used in battle. Wield an Automaton to make quick work of enemies on the field.
The Bind ability allows Princess Zelda to move objects and obstructions she encounters along her path.
This ability is handy when trying to unearth buried treasure or reposition enemies to have them fall off cliffs.
An extension of this ability is called Reverse Bond, where you will be dragged along to the movement of the object you're linked to.
Reverse bond enables you to move along with your Monster Echoes or moving platforms that you've established links with.
The Still World is an otherworldly realm where everything swallowed up by the Rift is frozen in time.
Princess Zelda will have to traverse the distorted world and navigate the eerie structures to save Link and the inhabitants of Hyrule.
Smoothies is a new consumable in Echoes of Wisdom that restores hearts or provide buffs for Princess Zelda.
You will need to combine 2 ingredients to make a Smoothie, which is similar to the cooking mechanic featured in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom but made simpler in this game.

Hero Mode returns as a difficulty option in Echoes of Wisdom, and can be selected right from the start before beginning a new game.
Hero Mode Difficulty Differences
A classic theme in the long-established Zelda series is the dungeons, which will now be prominent features when visiting the Still World.
All Dungeon Locations and Walkthroughs
Similar to the 2019 remake Link's Awakening, this game offers Princess Zelda the option to change her clothing. This game, however, does not provide stat changes or buffs when equipping clothing.
Fast Travel will also become an available feature in the game to help players navigate Hyrule more quickly.
Horse Riding is a prominent feature in past Zelda titles such as Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The game will bring back this mechanic to help Princess Zelda roam Hyrule with ease.
You can also take on side quests in Echoes of Wisdom, which are optional missions that can be taken by the player aside from the main objectives of the game.
Side Quests in this game likely draw out their inspiration from previous Zelda games such as Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
