Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW)

How to Glide

Add to Watchlist

Glide by grabbing onto a flying echo and jumping off cliffs in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW). Learn how to glide using Cuccos, Flying Echoes and Automatons, as well as riding updrafts in this guide!

How to Glide

Grab on a Flying Animal and Jump Off Cliffs

Grab to any flying creature like a Cucco, any flying Echo or use a flying Automaton then jump off a cliff to start gliding. You can steer where you will glide but will slowly descend to the ground.

Ride Updrafts to Ascend Higher

You can also ride updrafts when you're in volcanic areas by summoning a flying Echo to ascend while gliding. This is helpful when doing the gliding sidequests or when solving an updraft related puzzle.

You can use a flying enemy echo to glide in midair. Summon the Echo and quickly grab it with the A button to lift it up over your head. When in this position, walking off of a high ledge will let you start gliding.

Hold on to a Cucco

Cucco Glide
While not exactly a method you can employ freely, the gag of being able to glide while holding a Cucco returns in Echoes of Wisdom. Gently grab a Cucco from Kakariko Village and feel free to hop off of cliffs and glide with it.

You left out Ghirro and Zirro. The former can trivialize the Goron gliding challenge and help you shortcut across a lot of still worlds.
