Chests can be opened either by defeating enemies, or solving puzzles before interacting with it in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW). Read on to learn how to open chests, as well as how to get the Gerudo Sanctum chest and Zora River chest in this guide!

Locked Chests, commonly found in the overworld can only be opened after defeating all enemies in the vicinity.
This mechanic is similar to how chests are opened in other titles like Breath of the Wild, where you need to defeat all the monsters within the camp before unlocking the chest.

Normal Chests, commonly seen with a gold and red color can be opened just by interacting with it.
These chests are commonly found inside caves and dungeons, and the only deterrent is that you usually need to solve a puzzle to reach the Chest.

Buried Chests simply put, are normal chests lodged into the ground. These chests can be pulled from the ground using Bind, after which, you can open them as you would a normal chest.
Bind Ability Guide: How to Move Large Boulders and Unearth Treasures

There is a room in Gerudo Sanctum with some pots and a treasure chest on the other side that may seem inaccessible from that point. However, there is a way to go to that chest.
Go back outside the Gerudo Sanctum and go north. Go to the east and eventually, you will reach an area with a warp point and a sandy tile nearby. Use a Holmill on that sandy tile to go to where the chest is. The treasure chest contains 50 Rupees.
Use the Old Bed echo to stand on and then summon a Bombfish Echo to blow up the platform where the chest is. The chest contains a Golden Egg inside.

You can also summon a Brazier underneath the platform then use bind on it, and then climb the ladder so the Brazier will reach the wooden platform to burn it.
