A Rift in the Gerudo Desert gets unlocked while progressing through Searching For Everyone quest, and is unlocked at the same time as Jabul Waters Rift quest.

| 2 | Enter the second room, bind, and drop the Wind Cannon near the exit to the dead pit. Make your way to the third room. |
| 3 | Defeat Pathblade enemies and obtain a Pathblade echo. Use it to hit the target and open the door to the fourth room. |
| 4 | Defeat Pathblade enemies and obtain a Pathblade echo. Use it to hit the target and open the door to the fourth room. |
| 5 | Defeat Gibdo enemies to obtain the Gibdo echo. Open the chest to get the Small Key. |
| 6 | Go downwards and defeat the enemies inside. |
| 7 | Pick up the nearest Wind Cannon and toss it once you're near the locked room. |
| 8 | Make your way down and eliminate enemies along the way using enemy echoes that you've obtained. |
| 9 | Head to the right side of the map to enter another room. |
| 10 | Make your way to the top while defeating enemies along the way. To easily traverse, use the Pathblade echo and bind Zelda to it as it spins to either left or right sides. |
| 11 | Upon arriving at the top, move to the right and move the pillar to cover the sand and trigger a cutscene. |
| 12 | Climb the ladder to access the shortcut back to the Wind cannon area and go outside Cryptic Cavern. |

| 1 | After defeating Mogryph and going back, a long cutscene will play and A Rift in Gerudo Desert will be completed afterwards. |
The A Rift in the Gerudo Desert main quest starts at Gerudo Desert and is active at the same time as The Jabul Waters Rift quest.
After completing A Rift in the Gerudo Desert, continue progressing Searching For Everyone quest.
Make sure to also complete The Jabul Waters Rift quest if you haven't yet!
