Southern Oasis Ruins Rift is unlocked while progressing through A Rift in the Gerudo Desert quest. The quest will appear when the chief of the Gerudo requires proof of Zelda's abilities in mending rifts.
A Rift in the Gerudo Desert Walkthrough
After approaching the soldiers near the quest marker, two rift blobs will emerge from the rift. Approach them and let it spawn enemies.
The only objective in this quest is to take out these monsters. One of them is a ReDead that you would want out first as it can interfere with your and your echoes' attacks.
The Southern Oasis Ruins Rift main quest is located in the ruins south of the oasis, and will be marked on your map at some point during the A Rift in the Gerudo Desert main quest.
Completing the Southern Oasis Ruins Rift quest progresses the A Rift in the Gerudo Desert main quest. You will need to clear two more rifts marked on your map to continue the questline.
