How to Heal and Restore Hearts Faster

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom How to Heal and Restore Hearts
This is a guide on how to heal and restore hearts in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW). Learn more about the different ways to heal and restore hearts in here!

How to Heal Faster

Rest on a Bed, Then Get Up Immediately After

Resting on a Bed recovers HP every few seconds, but the first instance of heal happens faster than the subsequent heals. Lay down on a bed, and once you recover HP, get up immediately, then repeat the process to recover hearts faster than simply waiting!

Better Bed Echoes will recover Hearts faster, so doing this trick on a Soft Bed or Zelda's Bed will allow you to recover HP much faster!

How to Restore Hearts

Slain Enemies Drop Hearts

Enemies have a chance to drop hearts that heal upon pick-up. When low on health, switch to a strategy that allows time away from the heat of combat to pick-up hearts in the vicinity.

Equip Accessories to Increase Heart Drop Rate

Effect Heart Appearance Up

Accessories such as the Heart Pin can increase the drop rate of hearts, which is useful if you feel like hearts are not dropping often for you.

Enemies Do Not Drop Hearts in Hero Mode

When Hero Mode is activated, enemies no longer drop hearts. Consider this when doing challenge runs with Hero Mode activated.

Restore Hearts by Using a Bed Echo to Rest

Bed Rest
After summoning a bed echo, you can press A to rest in it and restore hearts both in and out of combat. When in combat, players may employ a strategy of drawing the enemies' attention with another Echo to create an opening to summon and use a Bed Echo.

Upgraded Bed Echoes Restore Even More Hearts

Where to Get
Old BedOld Bed 1/2 Hyrule Castle Jail
Soft BedSoft Bed 1 House in the Oasis (Gerudo Desert)
ZeldaZelda's Bed 2 Zelda's Room (After Hyrule Castle Dungeon)

While the first bed echo learned, the Old Bed, restores half a heart each time you rest (or about half a heart every second you wait), you can learn other bed echoes which will increase this to 1 or even 2 full hearts per rest, making them very useful both for traversal and recovery!
