Controls During Swordfighter Form | |
---|---|
A | Throw Bomb (Hold, Bomb Lv.2+) Bombchu |
B | High Jump |
X | Shoot Arrow (Hold, Bow Lv. 2+) Spreadshot |
Y | Sword Attack (Hold) Spin Attack (While Rotating L Analog) Spin Attack |
D-Pad Up | Enter Swordfighter Form
End Swordfighter Form |
ZL | (Sword) Defend (Bow & Bomb) Lock On |
Press the D-Pad Up Button to enter the Swordfighter form, and press the button again to end it early. Swordfighter Form alters the controls and jumps with the B Button are higher than normal.
Pressing the Up Button enables the Swordfighter Form, and pressing the button again during the form exits it. Entering Swordfighter Form requires energy, wherein the form is disabled if energy is at zero.
After obtaining the Bombs of Might, pressing the A button summons a bomb for Zelda to throw. After upgrading the Bombs of Might to Lv. 2, holding A button will summon Bombchu that can track enemies and explode on contact.
During Swordfighter Form, Zelda's jumps are higher than normal. The buff in jump height stacks with the Frog Ring accessory, allowing Zelda to reach ledges and platforms otherwise out of reach.
After defeating Link in Gerudo Sanctum, pressing X equips the Bow of Might and fires an arrow. At Lv. 2 and above, holding X charges the shot and fires three arrows in a spread pattern when released.
Pressing the Y button during the Swordfighter Form unleashes an attack instead of summoning an Echo. Pressing the button mid-jump unleashes a vertical slash, and holding the Y button unleashes a Spin Attack that damages enemies in a radius.
The Spin Attack may also be performed by rotating the left analog stick and pressing the Y Button.
Pressing the ZL button raises the shield, which is able to block incoming attacks. Enemies may stagger when their attacks are blocked, creating an opening for a counterattack.
When the Bow of Might or Bombs of Might are equipped, pressing ZL will instead Lock On an enemy. Attacking while locked on directs all attacks to the locked enemy.
