Upgrading weapons is available after clearing Suthorn Ruins in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (EoW), and is recommended to upgrade the Sword of Might first, Bow of Might second, Energy third, and the Bombs of Might last. After clearing Suthorn Ruins, a cutscene will occur with Minister Lefte after exiting the dungeon. Follow Minister Lefte to Lueberry's House to unlock the ability to upgrade weapons.

It is recommended to upgrade the Sword of Might first to significantly raise the DPS output during Swordfighter Form and gain a versatile weapon for battles. Upgrade the Bow of Might to have a formidable option for ranged fights.
Upgrading Energy isn't a necessity as long as players stock up on energy-restoring smoothies. The Bombs of Might can remain at most at Lv.2— if not unlevelled —until all the other upgrades are obtained as its investment have significantly worse gains.

Upgrading the Bow and Bomb to Lv. 2 unlocks Spreadshot and Bombchu respectively, diversifying combat options. The Sword gains the ability to unleash Sword Beam when full health at Lv. 3, allowing the weapon to be used for both melee and ranged fights.

A total of 125 Might Crystals is needed to unlock all upgrades. Energy requires 35 Might Crystals to max, and the weapons have a requisite of 30 Might Crystals each to fully upgrade.
Completing the Still Missing Main Quest unlocks the highest upgrade levels for Swordfighter Form. Return to Lueburry's House after completing the quest and offer Might Crystals to upgrade the weapons and energy to their highest levels.
