I can't say I'd personally expect buffs for anyone, though a variant like Tropical Motoha or Seaside Tomoko is much more likely. These starter characters aren't really supposed to be highly viable, and a variant encourages their fans to spend money pulling for the new version.
Man, I hope they eventually consider buffing older units. Cause why is her whole kit single target focused and on top of that, the one time she can shield the whole team it's made so it can only proc once per battle. Other units' kits are designed so much better. I hate it cause I love her so much.😭
