What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Weapon skill grants Atk/Spd bonuses, bonus damage, and a Null Follow-Up effect during combat. |
Might: 14 Range: 1 At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd+5 to unit during combat, and also, if unit's Spd > foe's Spd, neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks and deals +5 damage during combat (except when dealing damage with area-of-effect Specials). |
Cooldown Count = 4 Boosts Atk by 50%. |
If unit has at least 3 more HP than enemy at the start of combat, unit receives Spd +6 during combat. |
Inflicts Special cooldown count+1 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target after combat. (No effect on Special cooldown counts already at maximum.) |
Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

Atk (7) | ★★★★★ | |
Spd (11) | ★★★★☆ | |
Def (12) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Res (8) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Jarod will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Jarod are +Spd and -Res. Lacking an exclusive weapon of his own, Jarod needs every edge he can obtain, and boosting Spd allows him to keep up with the fastest metagame units.
Jarod's Res is his least important stat and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend +Spd when merging Jarod up to +10 to maximize the chances of his foes being unable to create follow-up attacks against him.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Jarod is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Jarod's inheritable Null Spear+ grants him Atk/Spd+5, a Null Follow-Up effect, and +5 bonus damage per attack during combat.
While not as impressive as exclusive or Arcane weapons, Null Spear+ provides enough offensive benefits to be worth using on a budget compared to other inheritable weapons.
Jarod is yet another speedy lance infantry unit in a game filled with similar units.
It may be difficult to find room on your team for Jarod while ensuring that the team has ample coverage for a wide variety of foes.
Jarod suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.
Lance infantry units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Jarod replaceable by better units.
