When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-Res

The best IVs for Summer Ogma are +Atk and -Res. A +Atk IV is a superboon and bumps up Summer Ogma's Atk from 38 to 42, allowing for very good damage output as well as decent doubling potential when combined with his respectable 38 Spd. His base Res is very low at a measly 21 and can be safely taken as a bane.

+Spd for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Spd IV if merging Summer Ogma to +10. He'll have 45 Spd when fully merged, which makes him great at doubling opponents and makes him a good candidate for Spd-based damage reduction skills such as Close Call or Spurn.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a decent budget build for Summer Ogma aimed at using his native skills. Trident+ and Atk/Def Form are both active when allies are nearby, so positioning is key. Quick Riposte should cancel out follow-up negation skills, allowing Ogma to rely on Spd checks to double his enemies.

How to Use, Explanation

This build takes advantage of Ogma's great offensive stat spread to apply Spd-based damage reduction through Spurn. Ogma's Spd is boosted through a Spd-refined Slaying Lance+, Joint Drive Spd and Atk/Spd Solo 3. Distant Counter allows Ogma to counterattack against all foes, while Slaying Lance+ reduces the cooldown of Ruptured Sky to 1 charge, allowing Ogma to retaliate with it right away. Replacing Reposition with a dual rally+ skill such as Rally Atk/Spd+ and using an Atk superboon instead will maximize Arena scoring with this build.

Summer Ogma is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Summer Ogma Fire Emblem Heroes FEH

Trident+ can provide a total of +11 Atk / +5 Def when its conditions are met. Threat. Spd/Def 2 inflicts -4 Spd/Def on foes within 2 spaces at the start of the turn, and Atk/Spd Solo 3 grants +6 Atk/Spd to him when he is not adjacent to combat. These give him great advantage in combat. A glimpse of this power can be seen above!

We have not seen his stats yet, but these factors combined with Sol and a potentially bulky statline suggest that Ogma can be quite durable in battle.

Summer Ogma Weaknesses

Base kit needs some attention to work properly

Atk/Spd Solo 3 needs Ogma to have no adjacent from allies, but Trident+ needs allies to be at a specific distance from Ogma. For his base kit to work at optimal levels, you need to put some attention to his positioning in relation to his allies.

If you want to take it a step further, you also need to pay attention to his positioning in relation to enemies to activate Threat. Spd/Def 2 as the check is done at the start of the turn and not during combat.

Needs investment to be effective

Demote units are very available, but the downside to that is they do not carry much premium skills. Fret not, as Trident+ is a nice, solid lance to build around on! Plus, being a demote means you can easily get merges on Summer Ogma!

Low Res

Summer Ogma's Res only sits at 25 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for magic users to take him out. Be mindful of Summer Ogma's positioning in relation to magical units that can easily take him out.
