Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

Atk (11) | ★★★★☆ | |
Spd (12) | ★★★★★ | |
Def (12) | ★★★★★ | |
Res (6) | ★★☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Ninja Saizo will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Ninja Saizo are +Spd and -Res. Boosting Spd improves his already high Spd stat and allows him to avoid follow-up attacks from the fastest metagame units.
His Res is lackluster and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Ninja Saizo up to +10 to ensure he won't receive follow-up attacks from fast metagame units.

This is a budget build aimed at making Ninja Saizo a decent offensive unit with high Def while only using budget skills. His base kit's Solo skills do not synergize well with Kumo Naginata+, hence, we opt for Bond skills instead.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Ninja Saizo is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Ninja Saizo's inheritable weapon Kumo Naginata+ allows warping to any space adjacent to a nearby ally, attacks twice if Saizo initiates combat, and grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat.
While not exactly the most stacked weapon, Kumo Naginata+ has enough effects to be a reliable source of offense.
Ninja Saizo suffers from terrible magical bulk with his base 37 HP and base 25 Res. An attack from almost any magical attacker can bring him down easily.
Keep Ninja Saizo away from enemies that deal magic damage to ensure his survival.
Ninja Saizo suffers from not having any unique skills to call his own, making him unable to stand out amongst other units.
Lance Infantry units are quite abundant in the game, and lacking an exclusive weapon makes Ninja Saizo replaceable by better units.
