The best IVs for Summer Caspar are +Atk and -Res. His Res is already pretty low so it's safe to take as a bane.

His Atk, however, can be pushed a lot higher to increase his firepower.

+Atk for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Caspar to 10. This is for the same reasons as above and at this point, she will reach 60 Atk. You can also take a +Spd IV if you would like to build him as a more speedy type of offensive unit.

How to Use, Explanation

This build allows Caspar to trigger Galeforce after two consecutive attacks due to the special acceleration provided by both Flashing Blade 4 and Time's Pulse 3. Wings of Mercy allows Caspar to teleport to your damaged units and eliminate key targets with Galeforce.

How to Use, Explanation

This build utilizes Caspar's good speed stat to apply Spurn's damage reduction effect. Atk/Spd Menace and Atk/Spd Solo 3 maximize the damage reduction Spurn gives. Slaying Axe brings Ruptured Sky down to a 1 charge cooldown, which activates every combat and also applies Spurn's flat 5 damage boost. G Duel Infantry 4 may be used instead of Distant Counter if you want a small scoring boost, but this leaves Caspar vulnerable to ranged units.

Summer Caspar is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Summer Caspar Strengths

Steals foe's bonuses to Def through Victorfish+

Buffs are granted to Summer Caspar upon initiating, but Victorfish+ doesn't stop there! The debuff to the foe can be seen too.

Victorfish+ can do the following if Caspar initiates combat, or if foe's HP ≥ 75% in the enemy phase:

1. Grants Def +5 to Caspar
2. Inflicts Def -5 to the foe
3. Grants any Def bonuses from foe to Caspar
4. Erases the buff from foe!

This ensures Caspar hits harder, as a Def reduction on the foe means bigger damage for him. It also makes him tankier if he is against a physical foe. It also turns the tide of battle if he is able to score a battle with a foe with a huge Def buff.

Bonus Doubler and Even Atk Wave 3 synergize

Every start of even-numbered turns, Summer Caspar is granted a visible +6 Atk upon entering combat. When he enters combat, this is doubled by Bonus Doubler 3 so he gets +12 Atk worth of damage! Support him with Rally skills because any visible buff will be doubled by Bonus Doubler.

Be warned though, as visible buffs do not stack if they are assigned to the same skill. Get a range of visible buffs instead of trying to stack everything into one stat.

Summer Caspar Weaknesses

Low Res makes him vulnerable to magic users or those that calculate lower stats

Summer Caspar has low Res at Lvl 40, which will make him an easy target of tome users or dragon units. Examples of these are Valentine's Lif, Spring Myrrh, or Nino.

Needs investment to be effective

Demote units are very available, but the downside to that is they do not carry much premium skills. Fret not, as Victorfish+ is a nice, solid axe to build around on! Plus, being a demote means you can easily get merges on Summer Caspar!
