What Kind of Character Are They? | ・Obtained from defeating Iago in a Grand Hero Battle ・Debuffs enemies with lower HP ・Buffs attacking allies' Atk |
Might: 14 Range: 2 Res+3. At start of odd-numbered turns, if a foe's HP ≤ unit's HP-3 & that foe isn't adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Spd-4 and【Guard】on the foe. At start of even-numbered turns, if a foe's HP ≤ unit's HP-3 & that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Def/Res-4 &【Panic】on the foe. 【Guard】 Inflicts cooldown charge-1 on target per attack during combat during its next turn. (Highest value applied. Doesn't stack.) 【Panic】 Turns bonuses on target into penalties through next action. |

Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

Def (6) | ★★☆☆☆ | |
Res (11) | ★★★☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Iago will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Iago are +HP and -Def. Iago's weapon, Iago's Tome, has a very good utility effect that relies on him having high HP to trigger. This means, the more HP Iago has, the easier it is to trigger Iago's Tome thus justifying a +HP IV. His Def is of less importance so it can be safely taken as a bane
We recommend a +HP IV when merging Iago to 10. This is for the same reasons above—making it easy for Iago to inflict Iago's Tome's effects on his enemies.
If you put HP/Atk 2 onto him, he can reach 53 HP at max merges.

This is Iago's basic skill set. The HP Bonuses are taken to help trigger Iago's Tome's effects. He is mainly a support unit when ran this way.

This is a high investment build aimed at making Iago a global ranged support. Sudden Panic works globally similar to Iago's Tome, while Cross Spur Atk works in cardinal directions. With this build, Iago can support allies from far away.

Might: 14 Range: 2 HP: Grants Res+3. At start of odd-numbered turns, if any foe's HP s unit's HP-1 and that foe is not adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Spd-6 and 【Guard】 on that foe through its next action. At start of even-numbered turns, if any foe's HP < unit's HP and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Def/Res-6 and 【Panic】 on that foe through its next action. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat. At start of odd-numbered turns, grants Def/Res+6, "foe cannot make a follow-up attack," and "neutralizes foe's bonuses during combat" to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. At start of even-numbered turns, grants Atk/Spd+6, "if unit initiates combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack," and 【Hexblade】 to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. If foe initiates combat or if foe's HP ≥ 75% at start of combat, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat. :500 :200 |

Iago's Tome now features two distinct effects, offering both defensive and offensive support depending on turns. On odd turns, he and his allies gain defensive buffs such as Def/Res+6 and follow-up denial. Conversely, on even turns, he provides offensive support, granting Atk/Spd+6, a guaranteed follow-up, and 【Hexblade】 to him and his allies.
If you're planning to unlock this refine, make sure to be mindful of these conditional effects to avoid misuse and to ensure that you use them to your advantage.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Iago is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Iago's exclusive weapon, Iago's Tome can debuff enemies whose HP is 3 values lower than Iago's. Just like Aversa, who can debuff units all over the map, this unit would work very well in an Aether Raid defense party.
The C skill Atk Opening 3 is a buff skill that gives +6 to the Atk of the ally who has the highest Atk stat. This skill has good synergy with heroes that already have a high offensive ability like double attack characters such as Reinhardt and Legendary Lif, blade tomes such as Nino, and characters that have the Bonus Doubler skill such as Valentine Alm and Legendary Roy.
The penalty from Iago's Tome will not be activated unless Iago's HP is 3 values higher than the enemies' HP. It is hard to make use of one of Iago's biggest strengths when he is damaged or when he is against high HP heroes. To combat this, equip Iago with skills that increase maximum HP and bring allies that can heal Iago.
Should You Unlock Potential for this Hero? |

We can say with confidence that you should use Unlock Potential to bring Iago - Nohr's Tactician from 4 Stars to 5 Stars. Iago - Nohr's Tactician is a very useful debuff support, so we recommend you Unlock Potential for Iago - Nohr's Tactician if your team lacks a strong debuff support.

We recommend using Iago to inherit the skill Atk Opening 3. He will learn Atk Opening 3 at 5 stars. However, since Iago is a Hero obtained from Grand Hero Battles, there is a limit on how many duplicates you can get. Think carefully if you want to use Iago as a fodder for Inheriting Skills.
Iago is a Hero who, for a limited time, can be obtained through completing a Grand Hero Battle for the first time. They do not appear in regular summons. After the event has ended, they can be obtained by using Heroic Grails.

Hi. There is a little mistake in the recommendation. It says: "he and his allies gain ... Null Follow-Up". Actually, he doesn't give "Null Follow-Up", he gives "foe cannot make a follow-up attack"
