Might: 14 Range: 2 Grants Res +3. At start of turn, if any foe’s HP ≦ unit’s HP -3 and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res -3 on that foe and bonuses on that foe become penalties through its next action. |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Grand Hero Battle, Aversa will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Aversa are +HP and -Def. Aversa's weapon, Aversa's Night, has a very good utility effect that relies on her having high HP to trigger. This means, the more HP Aversa has, the easier it is to trigger Aversa's Night thus justifying a +HP IV. Her Def is of less importance so it can be safely taken as a bane
We recommend a +HP IV when merging Aversa to 10. This is for the same reasons above—making it easy for Aversa to inflict Aversa's Night's effects on her enemies.
If you put HP +5 onto her, she can reach 53 HP at max merges.

In order to make the most of Aversa’s Night, choosing a sacred seal to raise her HP is the ideal option. Renewal is a great B slot option because it will help her maintain her HP with its recovering property.

This is an Aether Raids build for Aversa. Stacking HP will ensure her weapon triggers, while Aerobatics and Guidance will allow for mobility for the rest of her allies.
Exclusive Weapon Effect from Refining (Special Effect Type) | |

SP: 400 | |
Might: 14 Range: 2 HP: Grants Res+3. At start of turn, if any foe's HP ≤ unit's HP-3 and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-4 on that foe and bonuses on that foe become penalties through its next action. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk/Spd/Res-4 on foe during combat. At start of combat, if foe's HP ≥ 75% or 【Penalty】 is active on foe, inflicts penalty on foe's Atk/Spd/Res during combat = 4 + any current penalty on each of those stats. Calculates each stat penalty independently. :500 :200 |
|
The special effect refine of Aversa's Night provides additional debuffs and the Plegian effect similar to weapons like Plegian Torch.
This effect provides more benefits to Aversa compared to the other refine options. Thus, it is the refine of choice.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Aversa is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.In addition, she is a free unit who can receive flying-only buffs.
Through her exclusive tome Aversa's Night, she can inflict a -3 penalty to all stats of foes who have low enough HP, and additionally convert bonuses from skills such as fortify into penalties. This debuff is inflicted over the entire map, so no matter where Aversa is she can carry out this role.
Her default C skill Odd Res Wave grants Res +6 to unit and adjacent allies at the start of odd-numbered turns. Wave skills provide buffs even to the user, despite being C-slot skills, which is a huge advantage to using them. Use the odd-numbered turns buff to your advantage, and strike when the time is right!
Aversa's exclusive weapon skill effect in conjuction with her high HP stat is very advantageous in Aether Raids. Enemy Spur / Drive buffs will not be converted into penalties, but wiping out Fortify / Hone buffs alone is a huge plus. Giving Aversa a blessing in whatever Aether season it is will give her +5 HP when she appears together with a Mythic Hero.
As a flying unit-, Aversa will take effective damage from bows and other weapons that have this effect. Make sure to keep her out of danger's reach of foes wielding these types of weapons.
In high difficulty maps like GHB and Multi-Map Battles, units will often have very high HP stats. This makes it difficult for her weapon's effect to work, which will totally make her irrelevant.
Caeda | Hríd | Palla | Hinoka |
Legendary Tiki (Young) | Legendary Azura | Gunnthrá | Yune |
Eir | Bow Hinoka |
As a flying unit, putting her together with other flying units like Caeda or Palla will net her some powerful buffs. If you use her with L! Azura, Azura's skill Atk Tactic will go to waste, so swap it out for Hone Fliers, etc.
Yune, Gunnthrá, or Hríd have weapon effects that are most powerful on a foe with an active penalty. This means that having an ally who can debuff all foes on the map is a huge advantage. This comes in especially useful during Aether Raid Defense.
Ayra | Idunn | Legendary Tiki (Young) | Brave Lyn |
Aversa's Def stat is only a measly 17, so a single attack from a bow user will almost certainly taker her down. Being weak to all bow units means that she needs to keep her distance and avoid fire from arrows. In addition, an attack from a blue manakete means certain death for Aversa.
Idunn will negate the effects of Aversa's Night, and instead gain +4 to all stats. The fact that Aversa's utility is not only ineffective but actually strengthens Idunn means that Idunn is a hard counter for this unit.

You come all the way out here rather often, don't you? I guess you don't trust me. I'm not a spy, you know. That's not it? You think I look sad? You don't miss much, do you? It's true. I have many regrets. I've done terrible things to a lot of people. There is no way I can atone for it all... My past clings to me. No matter what I do, I can't make peace with it. And whenever I try to speak with others, well...it gets in the way. Speak plainly, you say? As if that'd ever work. If you're that interested in me, why don't we spend a little time together? Until moonrise, perhaps? As you may have noticed, I'm the fiercely loyal type. |
