Two Shinx by the Hot Spring
In Research Level 2 of the Volcano, you can find two Shinx walking by the hot spring at the start of the course. Take a photo of one of the Shinx to get a 1 Star photo. Do not take the photo as the Shinx are angrily looking at the player as this will not result in a 1 Star.

Shinx Eating Fluffruit
You can take a 2 Star photo of Shinx eating Fluffruit at the start of the Volcano course at Research Level 3. Toss a Fluffruit near the Shinx to the left of the path and take a photo as the Shinx eats the fruit.

Sleeping in the Cave
After taking the alternate route in the cave of the Volcano at Research Level 3, you can find a Shinx sleeping on the path. Take a photo of the Shinx as it sleeps to get a 3 Star photo.

For a 3 diamond star Shinx photo right as you are going to the underground cave area scan immediately and take the alternate route at the first opportunity you can and then turn your camera around before seeing the sleeping Shinx on the screen once you reach the Shinx you will stop for a second then continue, keep facing backwards and you will get a very close up view of the still sleeping Shinx hit it with an illumina orb and take a very close up photo for 3 stars
