How to Take Monferno 1 Star Photo

Before entering the cave of the Volcano course, you can spot a couple of Monferno jumping and playing on a few tall rocks to the right of the path. To get a 1 Star photo of Monferno, you can take a photo right as one of the Monferno jumps onto or off the rock.

Two Scheming Monferno

After entering the cave and taking the main route of the Volcano at Research Level 3, you can occasionally find two Monferno scheming behind a sleeping Tyrantrum. To guarantee the two Monferno appearing in the cave, you can toss an Illumina Orb at one of the Monferno before entering the cave. Take a photo of two Monferno as they talk to each other.

As you go through the second area of the Volcano course beside the magma path, you can spot two Monferno playing on top of the rocks. The Monferno on the lower rock will eventually jump down and start taunting the player as you pass. Take a photo of the cheeky Monferno to get a 3 Star photo.

Playing with Fire

To take a 4 Star photo of Monferno, follow the steps in the table below in the Volcano at Research Level 1.

1	After entering the large magma chamber, look behind you and wait for the Monferno to come running in from the entrance. When Monferno stops running, toss an Illumina Orb at it.
2	After tossing the Illumina Orb, the Monferno will run to the top of a rock pillar near the end of the course. After it does two back flips, toss another Illumina Orb at the Pokemon.
3	A few moments after tossing the Illumina Orb, Monferno will start doing fighting poses while releasing fire. Take a photo of the Monferno as it does this. Because the action happens rather quickly, we recommend using Burst Mode when taking this photo.
