How to Clear Volcanic Hide-and-Seek Request Walkthrough

This is a guide to completing Volcanic Hide-and-Seek, a request in New Pokemon Snap (Pokemon Snap 2) for the Nintendo Switch. Here you can find what kind of photo you need, and how to take it, in order to clear Volcanic Hide-and-Seek, as well as the reward!

How to Clear Volcanic Hide-and-Seek

Light Up Crystabloom Above Tyrantrum

There will be a Tyrantrum in the middle of the main route's final area. Above it will be a Graveler and a Crystabloom.

Wait until you pass by the Tyrantrum then throw an Illumina Orb to light up the Crystabloom. Make sure not to accidentally hit the Charizard, or else it will not show up when you need it later.

Throw Fluffruit at Charmander's Area

Immediately after, start throwing Fluffruit at the Charmander area. The area is directly straight from where Tyrantrum is facing, but there is a rocky platform in between Tyrantrum and the Charmander area.

You need to keep throwing Fluffruits until you round the corner and see at least five Charmanders. If there aren't at least five, you won't be able to complete the request.

Play Melody As You Round the Corner

When the NEO-ONE starts to round the corner to reveal the Charmander, use the Melody player, which will get the Charizard flying around above you to circle the Charmander area.

Also, when you round the corner, stop throwing Fluffruit, or else it will be fresh enough for the Charmander to get distracted by them.

Once the Charmander are in full view, stop the Melody player by pressing its controller input again. If you continue to let it play, the Charmander will get distracted by the music.

Snap a Photo of Charmanders Celebrating

If you've followed the steps correctly, the Charmander should take formation as a Charizard lands in front of them. Afterward, the Charmander will celebrate and jump in the air.

The request is only completed with a photo of the Charmander jumping in celebration as soon as Charizard lands on the ground.

Note that not all Charmanders need to be jumping for the photo. The initial caption of the photo just has to be "Yay!".
