How to Break Rubber Terrain
Use the Swap Harp to Turn Rubber Into Gold
Rubber terrain can’t be destroyed directly, but you can change that. Strike a nearby Swap Harp to transform the rubber into gold. Once it’s gold, it becomes breakable.
Hitting the harp again will toggle it back and forth between gold and rubber, so time it well!
Where to Find Rubber Terrain
Commonly Found in the Groove Layer
Rubber terrain shows up frequently in the Groove Layer (SL 1300) , often appearing near Swap Harps.
If you spot one of those strange instruments, chances are rubber’s nearby.
What to Do With Rubber Terrain
Use Rubber to Bounce Higher Than Normal Jumps
Rubber terrain acts as a trampoline. Jumping on it bounces you much higher than a regular jump, letting you reach platforms you normally couldn’t. Additionally, using Dive Punch on rubber gives you even more air time than normal jumps.
Before smashing it into gold, try bouncing around first as rbber can help you access hidden areas or collectibles that are just out of reach.
