The best IVs for Palla are +Spd and -HP. A +Spd IV helps her score more follow-up attacks and makes her less susceptible to enemy follow-up attacks. This boosts both of offensive and defensive capabilities. Her HP is of less importance so it is safe to take as a bane.

How to Use, Explanation

This build turns Palla into a flying sword ace. It maximizes her Atk/Spd to help her score crippling 4x attacks on foes with her spec. eff. refine. Flier Formation 3 is taken in the S Slot to help her activate Whitewing Blade's special effect in the player phase. You can also take it in the B slot, and get an offensive skill in the S slot instead. If you feel comfortable initiating without it, you can use a piece that will maximize her offenses even more. If you can't afford Dive-Bomb 3, just take Desperation 3.

We recommend the Special Effect Refine for Whitewing Blade

This special effect refine is very poweful as +3 to all stats on top of an player phase extra attack is not to be underestimated. The only drawback to this is that it requires at least 2 flying allies within 2 spaces. However, Palla is commonly used in flier parties anyway so this is not much of a drawback as much commonly thought.

Palla is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Palla Strengths

Very Strong Against Green Units

Palla's Whitewing Blade boosts her Atk by +20% if she gets into combat with green units. This allows Palla to deal with powerful green units with ease. This also makes Palla a valuable unit because the green attribute class boasts some of the strongest units in the game, and she has the tools to easily take them out.

Can warp to allies who are in a pinch

Her B skill Wings of Mercy 3 will let her warp to any ally with less than 50% HP. Palla's high mobility is improved even further because of this skill effect. You are also able to move and attack enemies simultaneously if the injured ally is positioned properly. This extra mobility is very useful in Aether Raids where turns are limited.

Possesses a powerful flier-only type buff

Palla's default C skill Goad Fliers will give Spd/Atk+4 to all fliers units within 2 spaces during combat. Palla's flier related skills will come in very handy for a 'Flier-Emblem' party.

Palla Weaknesses

Does not have a strong sense of uniqueness

Palla has a good balance of stats, but she does not boast any unique skill nor characteristic that sets her apart from other sword units and sword fliers. If you are to make use of her in the long run, we suggest inheriting powerful skills onto her to help her contribute to your team more. It can be said that she can specialize as a sword flier whose goal is to be a hard counter to most green units.

Very Weak Against Blue Units

The downside to Whitewing Blade is that it makes Palla very weak against blue units. She can be one-shot by most offensive blue units so pay attention to her positioning in relation to them, and leave them to Palla's allies so she can focus her firepower on other units.
