◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Thief Rickard will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.
The best IVs for Thief Rickard are +Spd and -Res. His Spd is a superboon and boosts his already very high Spd stat even further to guarantee he outspeeds his foes.
His Res is his worst stat and is a safe bane to take without altering any of his matchups.
We recommend +Spd when merging Thief Rickard to +10 for similar reasons above.
+Atk can also be used to boost his damage further if Spd isn't a concern.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Thief Rickard is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he/she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Thief Rickard's Florid Cane+ is a great inheritable sword for both himself and for your favorite units.
It grants Atk/Spd+5 during combat upon fulfilling a simple HP check, and it has 【Canto (Rem. +1)】built into it to allow for repositioning post-combat.
It's a simple, but effective weapon which fits the current metagame.
Thief Rickard's base stats of 38/38/42/33/25 are well suited for an offensive unit, especially with his very high 42 base Spd. Atk and Spd are also key superboons available to Thief Rickard should you wish to invest further into him.
As a flying unit, Thief Rickard takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
