How to Use Clockwork

Alter the Mood of People in Penacony

In Penacony, some NPCs will allow you to activate Clockwork on them. This feature can change how they're feeling and influence how they react when talked to. Use this when you want to get more out a conversation!

Use Emo Tuning to Switch Emotions

Once you activate Clockwork on someone, you can tune their emotions to be Calm, Angry, Happy, or Sad. Depending on their situation, you must gauge which emotion will progress your conversation with them!

Repair Emo Dials with Emotion Gears

NPCs with a wrench icon are missing emotions instead. You can determine the missing emotion based on its color. Repairing their Emo Dial will trigger a mini quest.

You can repair Emo Dials by using Gears that correspond to whatever emotion they're missing. These Emotion Gears can be obtained by absorbing people's emotions or investigating objects in Penacony.

If you need clues on where to find more Clockwork quests, you can approach the Psychic Detective in the area. Keep in mind that getting a clue will cost you 1 Aideen Token.
