Shoud You Reroll in Honkai: Star Rail?

Rerolling is Not Worth It

Star Rail - Reroll Screen
Rerolling isn't worth it because HoYoverse has made the process very tedious. Here's why:

  • HoYoverse doesn't have a guest account system, so you will need multiple emails to continually reroll.
  • In-game cutscenes are unskippable.
  • It takes about 30 minutes to unlock the Gacha system with each reroll.
  • Star Rail Pass rewards from pre-registration can't be used on the limited banner, only on standard banners.
  • The 5-Star pull rate is only 0.6%.

How to Reroll in Honkai: Star Rail

Fastest Way to Reroll

Steps
1
Create a HoYoverse account with a new email.
2
Log into the game with the email you just made.
3
Play through the prologue until the gacha and pre-registration rewards are unlocked. This takes around 30-40 minutes.
4
Spend 20 rolls on either the Departure Warp Banner or the Stellar Warp Banner.
5
If your pulls aren't ideal. Exit to the home screen, log out, and repeat step 1.

The rerolling process can be sped up a bit by multi-boxing/multiple mobile instances, but at the cost of system performance.

Departure Warp Pity Reroll (Longer)

Honkai Star Rail - Departure Warp Untouched

If you have the time, spending the 20 pre-registration reward rolls on the Departure Warp and then playing until Trailblaze Level 15 will allow you to hit the 50 rolls needed to get a guaranteed 5-Star character. Take note that this method will take around two hours for each reroll attempt!

If you don't mind spending Stellar Jades when rerolling, you can also use the active redeem codes to earn more rolls!

Star Rail - BailuBailu Best Healer
Her kit provides plenty of healing, ensuring no ally falls in combat. Bailu is also the only character that can revive an ally in combat!
Star Rail - YanqingYanqing Powerful Main DPS
He is currently the best non-limited 5-Star single target DPS. Yanqing's passive ability called Soulsteel Sync increases his damage output when not getting hit.

Since the rerolling process takes a long time, getting any 5-Star character on a reroll run is already ideal. However, shown above are the best characters to get while rerolling.
