Once the game lets you roll for the Warp banners, it is recommended to do the discounted pulls in the Departure Banner to try and get the guaranteed 5-Star character.
The Daily Training contains missions that reward Trailblaze EXP, Stellar Jades, Credits, and other materials to level up your characters. Each mission will grant points depending on the difficulty. Look to earn 500 Points every day to earn all daily rewards!
All Daily Missions and How to Unlock
Character Ascension and Traces should be prioritized when leveling up a character. These provide a direct increase in stats as well as improve skills, and unlock unique passives.
How to Level Up and Ascend Characters
Light Cones can be considered as weapons for characters and are also important to level up. Aside from the bonus stats Light Cones grant, they also provide useful passives if the Path of both the character and Light Cone are the same.
Relics and Ornaments are equipable items that grant stats and other useful effects to characters. They can be obtained as rewards from Missions, Treasure Chests, and the Caverns of Corrosion. If you feel that enemies are getting a little bit difficult, try upgrading your relics and ornaments.
Golden Calyxes are a source of obtaining EXP and refinement materials to level up characters and Light Cones. Crimson Calyxes, on the other hand, reward Trace materials to enhance each character's skills and passive abilities.
Calyxes have enemy encounters that you will need to defeat. Claiming the rewards cost 10 Trailblaze Power per wave.

Echoes of War are boss encounters that offer more rewards like Light Cones, Relics, and Advanced Trace Materials. Each run costs 30 Trailblaze Power, and its rewards can only be claimed three times a week. You will need to wait for the next Server Reset until you can claim some more.

The Simulated Universe Guide and Forgotten Hall Guide are end-game modes, but it is a good idea to build a good team as early as possible to be efficient in resources.
Combat and Exploration Tips Summary |
---|
|
Combat revolves around using elements to deplete the Toughness bar on top of the HP bar of enemies. When the Toughness bar has been depleted, enemies become vulnerable and receive much more damage. Each character has a specific element, so it is recommended to build multiple characters to have access to different elements.
All Enemies and Weaknesses Guide
Skill Points are an important resource in combat as these allow you to use the Skills of characters. Skills usually consume one Skill Point, while Basic Attacks generate one Skill Point.
It is important to learn how to manage Skill Points in order to balance your team's damage output and survivability.
Each character has a unique technique that can be used before engaging in combat. These techniques are extremely useful in tipping the scales in your favor, especially against powerful opponents. These powerful effects range from gaining bonus stats and shield to dealing damage to your enemy's Toughness bars.

While Honkai: Star Rail can be cleared with just the free-to-play units, there are some limited 5-Star characters that will strike the fancy of players.
The game hands out Stellar Jades generously but are a limited resources. Unless you plan on spending a lot of money, save it for the character banners you want.
Achievements are player milestones that grant Stellar Jades for achieving certain feats. Try to chase down these achievements, and you may even encounter some Easter Eggs and pop culture references along the way!
A neat feature of adding friends is that it allows you to borrow featured characters and add them to your team temporarily. This is a good way of clearing Calyxes and Echoes of War if you need a specific element or just trying out characters you do not have.
There is a daily check-in reward for Honkai: Star Rail. The daily rewards are not much, but they will add up, especially if you play religiously.
