This is a Honkai: Star Rail Tier List as of Version 3.7 in December 2025. We rate the 5-Star and 4-Star characters, the best characters for overall use, general use, and endgame content here!

This is a tier list for all characters at E0, assuming they have their ideal setups (including teammates and Light Cones). You can see a brief explanation of why each character is placed in their respective tier by hovering over their icon in the Overall section.
We reduce points from a character's Overall and General ratings based on their dependence on specific factors (such as requiring certain Eidolons, Light Cones, or Limited 5-Star supports) to perform well in the current environment of HSR's Endgame content (HP Bloat).
The Endgame Tier List (MoC, PF, & AS) will be updated regularly, as stage buffs and enemies change across each phase.

| 12/05/24 | Moved Jing Yuan to Overall S-Tier. ⤷ Jing Yuan struggled in the endgame mostly due to the Lightning-Lord taking a lot of time to unleash for a measly amount of damage. Thanks to Sunday's debut, most of Jing Yuan's problems were fixed and he's now more than viable to take on any AoE content. |

| 11/14/24 | - Moved Hanya to Overall S-Tier. ⤷ Hanya makes your playthroughs much more comfortable thanks to her SP-Generation and SPD buff. This can help a lot of players with their SP-Management and SPD Tuning. - Moved Jing Yuan, Gepard, Clara, and Bailu to Overall A-tier. ⤷ The characters mentioned are still viable to use and are solid characters. However, these characters require a bit more effort to clear the endgame content. - Moved March 7th, Natasha, Trailblazer (Fire), Hook, Serval, and Yukong to B-tier. ⤷ While these characters are decent enough to clear harder content, recent Endgame phases have become more difficult and mostly geared toward the recently released characters. |
| 10/22/24 | - Added Rappa to the tier list. - Moved Imbibitor Lunae to Overall S-Tier. ⤷From our testing with Imbibitor Lunae on the recent Endgame content, he cannot keep up with the current SS-tier DPS characters. Imbibitor Lunae's lack of Weakness Ignore brought him down to S-tier. |
| 10/02/24 | - Added Lingsha to the tier list. - Moved Yunli to Overall SS-Tier. ⤷Yunli has proved to be an excellent DPS unit that excels in all Endgame content with Physical-weak enemies. That, along with her DMG against both AoE and single-targets, bumps her up in the tier list. - Moved Jingliu to Overall S-Tier. ⤷ Jingliu has had trouble in keeping up with Endgame content for the entirety of the 2.X patch unless she's well invested. While this doesn't affect Jingliu's effectiveness as a DPS, we ranked her lower due to this reason alone. - Moved Silver Wolf to Overall S-Tier. ⤷With the recent top DPS units being capable of ignoring enemy weaknesses, Silver Wolf becomes a bit unnecessary to have as time goes by. She still is very useful if you need to implant a missing Weakness onto an enemy. |

Tier List Explanation
How Characters are Evaluated
We rank characters based on our point system. DPS units have a slight bias towards AoE-Target damage since endgame content encourages you to defeat more than one enemy.

|---|---|
| DPS | - How much damage they can do with their ideal build.
- How consistent their damage is. - How reliant they are on having specific characters in their team comp. - How much damage they can do over a certain number of turns. |
| Support | - How strong are the buffs or debuffs they provide.
- How much a character increases the total DPS output of a team. - How often they can activate their abilities while still generating SP. |
| Sustain | - How strong their shields or healing are.
- If they can cleanse debuffs. - What else they provide aside from protection and healing. |
| Endgame |
- How easy it is to 3-star all stages with that character.
- How effective they are in the current iterations of Memory of Chaos, Pure Fiction, and Apocalyptic Shadow. |
Rating Explanation
| SS Tier |
The best of the best in the game. These characters don't require a lot of investment to be a great character and are key components in most team comps. |

| S+ Tier |
Characters that are very strong in their respective roles. While these characters are solid units, they would want their best Light Cones, Eidolons, or other premium units to contend with the ones on top. |
| S Tier |
Great characters who can perform even better when given the right amount of investment. These characters may struggle when they don't have their best Light Cones, Eidolons, or other premium units. Even then it may be hard for them to keep up with the best. |
| A Tier |
Good characters who can do well when used correctly and can be effective under different circumstances. These characters can be considered great in specific scenarios, but fall off in most cases. |
| B Tier |
Characters who are below average in their respective role. These characters require a ton of investment to make them viable in harder content. |
| C Tier |
Characters with limited combat utility. These characters are greatly overshadowed by everyone else in their role. |

even if ur not clearing waves quickly it is an undeniable fact dhpt is better, it doesnt take a genius to understand, hyacine provides no buff whatsoever, compared to dhpt giving attack buff and 4 pc relic buff. Hyacine doesnt provide any meaningful buffs, other than sub dps, and guess what her sub dps is trash outside of remembrance teams anyways. Her lc is the only thing thats giving feixiao a buff but thats her lc not hers whereas dhpt even with no lc is providing way better buffs.
