Should You Pull For Yao Guang?
Yao Guang is a great introduction to the Elation Path as she provides buffs that benefit both Elation and non-Elation units.
We recommend pulling for Yao Guang if you plan to pull for other Elation units in the future or have DPS units that consume SP, such as Archer.

Should You Pull for Sparxie?
Sparxie is the first Elation DPS and can be very strong with the right Supports.Players can pull for Sparxie and can do well with her at any amount of investment.
Yao Guang, and most notably Sparkle in particular will bring out the best in Sparxie. Sparxie is also worth pulling for without Yao Guang if you have Tribbie, Cipher, or even the Remembrance Trailblazer.
Should You Pull for Sparkle?
Sparkle is a must-have as a turn-advance unit, especially with the new Novaflare buffs. She is also currently available in The Free 5-Star Character Selector, which means you don't need to pull for Sparkle.
Even if you already have Sparkle, her Eidolons are also worth pulling for. Pull for Sparkle, especially if you have characters like Sparxie or Archer.
Should You Pull for Rappa?
After finally having a rerun, Rappa is back and is a great Break DPS to pull for if you don't have Firefly or Boothill. Rappa's AoE DMG against five enemies still makes her a viable unit for endgame.
Rappa is worth pulling for, especially if you have premium Break units such as The Dahlia, Fugue, and Lingsha.
Should You Pull for Cerydra?
Cerydra is a strong Support for DPS units that use mostly their Skill to deal damage. With that in mind, we only recommend pulling for Cerydra if you have DPS units like Phainon or Anaxa.
Otherwise, Cerydra can be skipped as she doesn't synergize well with units that don't use their Skill to deal DMG.
Should You Pull for Saber?
Saber is a strong Destruction DPS who can deal high amounts of Skill and Ultimate DMG. While technical to use, Saber can be super effective in all Endgame content if used optimally.
Pull for Saber if you really like her and have units that provide turn advance like Sunday or Bronya, or units that restore energy like Huohuo. If you already have a strong Wind DPS, you can consider skipping Saber.
Do note that once Saber's Banner has ended, Saber will be gone forever.
Should You Pull for Archer?
Archer is a free Hunt DPS that specializes in single-target Skill DMG. The real question is whether or not his Eidolons are worth investing in.
Archer's Eidolons will provide quality of life upgrades for his Skill usage at E1 and damage upgrades from E2 onwards. This is great to pull for if you don't plan on pulling Sparkle for Archer.
At E0, Archer is already a strong DPS, but he requires the best Supports for his teams or Eidolons as a solo unit.

Should I Pull for When She Decided to See?
Yao Guang's Light Cone, When She Decided to See, provides the wearer SPD boost and Energy Regen. Yao Guang's Light Cone can also increase CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG when the wearer uses an Ultimate that targets party members.
While a great Light Cone to have for Yao Guang, it's not a must-pull if you have the 4-star alternatives available, such as Today's Good Luck or Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures.
When She Decided to See Best Characters
Should I Pull for Dazzled by a Flowery World?
Sparxie's Light Cone, Dazzled by a Flowery World, provides the wearer a CRIT DMG boost and extra Skill Point caps. This also increases the party's Elation when the wearer uses more than three Skill Points.
While Sparxie's Light Cone is a nice quality-of-life upgrade, you can opt to use Today's Good Luck or Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures.

Should I Pull for Earthly Escapade?
Earthly Escapade is an amazing choice for Sparkle if you want to utilize the Mask buff for your party. It provides CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, which most DPS characters love, and significantly increases overall damage.
Earthly Escapade is definitely a must-pull for Sparkle and the teams she's on. If you plan on skipping this, you can go for But the Battle Isn't Over, A Grounded Ascent, or even Past and Future.

Should I Pull for Ninjutsu Inscription - Dazzling Evilbreaker?
Ninjutsu Inscription - Dazzling Evilbreaker provides Erudition characters with a bunch of Break Effect and allows them to Advance Forward themselves through the Raiton effect. This is great for characters who scale with Break Effect.
If you don't plan on pulling for Ninjutsu Inscription - Dazzling Evilbreaker, you can opt for the more accessible After the Charmony Fall

Should I Pull for Epoch Etched in Golden Blood?
Cerydra's Light Cone, Epoch Etched in Golden Blood, can increase her own ATK and provide a huge Skill DMG buff to the ally she uses her Skill on. This also provides a nice quality-of-life change of gaining a Skill Point through the use of her Ultimate.
While nice to have for Cerydra, you don't need to pull for it to unlock her full potential. You use other Light Cones such as A Grounded Ascent, or even the free The Forever Victual Light Cone if you have it.

Should You Pull for A Thankless Coronation?
A Thankless Coronation is amazing for Saber since it provides her DMG, gives her bonus ATK, and her much needed Energy Regen.
While this is Saber's best-in-slot, other Light Cones such as Thus Burns the Dawn or On the Fall of an Aeon should suffice if you're saving up for other characters.

Should You Pull for The Hell Where Ideals Burn?
The Hell Where Ideals Burn is Archer's best Light Cone since it provides a permanent CRIT Rate buff and boosts his ATK through Skill Usage.
If you plan on saving your Stellar Jades, you can skip this Light Cone since other 5-star Light Cones are usable on Archer. If you want to invest on Archer, we recommend getting his Light Cone!

Honkai: Star Rail follows the exact same pity rules as Genshin Impact. Characters are guaranteed to appear after 90 pulls while Light Cones only need 80 pulls.

Like in Genshin Impact, pity in Character and Light Cone Event Banners carries over so your pulls are not exactly wasted.

Anonymous over 2 years"Take note that if you get a 5-star earlier than 50 pulls, you will not get another 5-star on your 50th pull. " That's not necessarily true. Let it be known, you can get an extra 5 star after you get your guaranteed one.
