Yao Guang is a great introduction to the Elation Path as she provides buffs that benefit both Elation and non-Elation units.
We recommend pulling for Yao Guang if you plan to pull for other Elation units in the future or have DPS units that consume SP, such as Archer.

Should You Pull for Evernight?
Evernight is a Remembrance unit that is a DPS that can also buff other Memosprites. She can deal damage to all enemies and provides CRIT DMG buffs geared toward Memosprites.
With her Memosprite buffs being a key feature, Evernight works best with other Remembrance units, with Castorice benefiting the most from her kit. If you main Castorice and want her to be stronger or are in need of an Ice DPS, Evernight is worth pulling for!

Should You Pull for Hysilens?
Hysilens is one of the best DoT units to be released in the game. Her ability to debuff enemies and deal DoT DMG makes her a great upgrade for DoT teams.
That being said, we only recommend getting Hysilens if you also have, or are planning to pull for Kafka to deal the most damage possible. Without Kafka, Hysilens cannot contend with other high tier units.

Should You Pull for Black Swan?
Black Swan is a strong DoT units in-game whose game plan is to simply apply Arcana onto enemies. Black Swan's DoT becomes a lot stronger the more Arcana stacks an enemy has accumulated.
Just like Hysilens, we only recommend pulling for Black Swan if you have Kafka. If you plan to pull for other units, you can skip Black Swan since you can have a DoT team with only Hysilens and Kafka.

Should You Pull for Saber?
Saber is a strong Destruction DPS who can deal high amounts of Skill and Ultimate DMG. While technical to use, Saber can be super effective in all Endgame content if used optimally.
Pull for Saber if you really like her have units that provide turn advance like Sunday or Bronya, or units that restore energy like Huohuo. If you already have a strong Wind DPS, you can consider skipping Saber.
Do note that once Saber's Banner has ended, Saber will be gone forever.
Should You Pull for Archer?
Archer is a free Hunt DPS that specializes in single-target Skill DMG. The real question is whether or not his Eidolons are worth investing on.
Archer's Eidolons will provide quality of life upgrades for his Skill usage at E1 and damage upgrades from E2 onwards. This is great to pull for if you don't plan on pulling Sparkle for Archer.
At E0, Archer is already a strong DPS, but he requires the best Supports for his teams or Eidolons as a solo unit.

Yao Guang's Light Cone, When She Decided to See, provides the wearer SPD boost and Energy Regen. Yao Guang's Light Cone can also increase CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG when the wearer uses an Ultimate that targets party members.
While a great Light Cone to have for Yao Guang, it's not a must-pull if you have the 4-star alternatives available, such as Today's Good Luck or Mushy Shroomy’s Adventures.

Should I Pull for To Evernight's Stars?
To Evernight's Stars is designed for Evernight for its HP stat and Energy Regen. This enhances Evernight's support capabilities since it helps other Memosprites deal more damage to enemies.
While nice to have, you can use The Flower Remembers or Sweat Now, Cry Less as cheaper alternative options. You can also use The Story's Next Page or Victory in a Blink simply as stat sticks.

Should I Pull for Why Does the Ocean Sing?
Hysilens' Light Cone, Why Does the Ocean Sing, provides Effect Hit Rate and can increase the enemy's DMG received from DoTs. This also provides a SPD increase that can be used by other allies when they attack an enemy.
While this is Hysilens' best-in-slot Light Cone, you can consider skipping this for other Light Cones like Eyes of the Prey or any other DoT-related Light Cone.

Should I Pull for Reforged Remembrance?
Reforged Remembrance is a good choice if you want to boost purely the DMG of a DoT character. Compared to other Nihility Light Cones, this Light Cone provides a better offensive boost rather than providing Energy regen or Break Effect.
While this is Black Swan's best-in-slot Light Cone, you can also consider skipping this for other Light Cones like Eyes of the Prey or any other DoT-related Light Cone.

Should You Pull for A Thankless Coronation?
A Thankless Coronation is amazing for Saber since it provides her DMG, gives her bonus ATK, and her much needed Energy Regen.
While this is Saber's best-in-slot, other Light Cones such as Thus Burns the Dawn or On the Fall of an Aeon should suffice if you're saving up for other characters.

Should You Pull for The Hell Where Ideals Burn?
The Hell Where Ideals Burn is Archer's best Light Cone since it provides a permanent CRIT Rate buff and boosts his ATK through Skill Usage. This Light Cone can be easily attained if you plan on pulling in the Version 3.4 banners.
If you plan on saving your Stellar Jades, you can skip this Light Cone since other 5-star Light Cones are usable on Archer. If you want to invest on Archer, we recommend getting his Light Cone!

Honkai: Star Rail follows the exact same pity rules as Genshin Impact. Characters are guaranteed to appear after 90 pulls while Light Cones only need 80 pulls.

Like in Genshin Impact, pity in Character and Light Cone Event Banners carries over so your pulls are not exactly wasted.

Anonymous over 2 years"Take note that if you get a 5-star earlier than 50 pulls, you will not get another 5-star on your 50th pull. " That's not necessarily true. Let it be known, you can get an extra 5 star after you get your guaranteed one.
