When obtained, Codes are initially broken and provide the team with negative effects. Codes are fixed by fighting three battles, after which, the negative effects are replaced with a positive effect that benefits the party.

Curios can be obtained from domains and events as rewards after clearing them. Other times they will need to be bought using Cosmic Fragments.
After doing a run of Simulated Universe, you will eventually unlock a Blessing of Trailblaze that allows you to start a run with a random Curio.
After obtaining a Curio, the effects are automatically applied. Curios with persistent effects will continue to apply their effects until they are removed from your possession. You can view the Curios you have picked up in a run by pressing the Simulated Universe button beside the minimap.
