Should You Build Xueyi?
Xueyi is a free character you can get from Apocalyptic Shadow and is a decent Break DPS to build for progressing on the game's story.
If you still don't have a Quantum DPS or want to try out Break Effect teams with characters like Harmony Trailblazer, Fugue, or Ruan Mei, Xueyi is worth building especially if you still don't have a lot of characters.

Xueyi's DMG can be increased based on the amount of Break Effect she has thanks to her first Bonus Ability. Xueyi can benefit from the full set of Genius of Brilliant Stars as she can deal more Quantum DMG and ignore enemy DEF.
Talia: Kingdom of Banditry will be her best Ornament as she can get more Break Effect as long as she has 145 SPD.

Since Xueyi boosts her DMG based on her Break Effect, stacking a lot of Break Effect on her is recommended. She also benefits from crit stats, so the ideal 1:2 Ratio for CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG is good to have.
As for Speed, Xueyi needs at least 145 SPD to activate Talia's effect and get two turns in the first and third cycles during battle. Higher SPD is even better, but try to hit SPD Breakpoints.

Talent Builds Karma Through Depleting Toughness
Xueyi's attacks will let her gain stacks of Karma through depleting the enemy's Toughness. Xueyi can also gain Karma stacks when other allies deplete the enemy's Toughness.
Unleash a Follow-up Attack with Karma
When Xueyi collects enough stacks of Karma, a Follow-up Attack will be inflicted on a single target, dealing Quantum DMG against that enemy!
Ultimate Ignores Enemy Weakness
Xueyi's Ultimate deals Quantum DMG to a single enemy and will deplete their Toughness regardless if the enemy has a Quantum Weakness or not. The more Toughness Xueyi depletes, the higher the damage her Ultimate will deal!
Skill Deals AoE DMG
Xueyi's Skill is pretty simple. Her Skill deals Quantum DMG to a single target and also to adjacent enemies.

Anonymous about 1 yearMaybe if you put Hunt March and HMC on the same team. Otherwise, HMC and Ruan Mei are still Xueyi's best supports. The thing with Xueyi is that she needs toughness bars to trigger her FUAs and make her ult more useful on teams without Ruan Mei and HMC. However, when she breaks enemies, they're going to be entangled for awhile which is why those 2 are so important for her play style. She won't have to just rely on FUAs to maximize her damage with them.
