What are Light Cones?

Star Rail - Light Cone Weapons
Light Cones are the equivalent of weapons in Honkai: Star Rail. You can equip characters with Light Cones to make them stronger, but note that only characters with matching Paths can activate a Light Cone's passive ability.

Light Cone Paths and Stats Explained

Characters equipped with a Light Cone of a different Path will still get the Light Cone's stat bonuses, but won't be able to activate the passive ability.

To fully utilize a Light Cone, it's always best to pair it with a character of the same path!

As mentioned in the latest Developer's Notes, you can now filter Light Cones according to their Path when viewing them in your inventory. This was added to the game during the Version 2.1 update.

Salvaging Light Cone Update

Honkai Star Rail - Salvaging Light Cone Update

4-Star Light Cones that have not been upgraded or Superimposed will automatically be included to be salvaged. With this, you can easily discard unwanted 4-Star Light Cones.

New Lock Management Tool

Honkai Star Rail - Lock Management Tool

When viewing Light Cones or salvaging them, you can now lock or unlock 4-Star or higher Light Cones in batches.

Faster 4-Star Superimposition

Honkai Star Rail - Faster 4-Star Superimpose

When Superimpositing Light Cones, you can automatically unlock 4-Star Light Cones of the same name in your inventory that have not been leveled or Superimposed before. Before, you have to manually unlock each of them which is time-consuming.

Pull from Warp Banners

You can get Light Cones by spending Star Rail Passes on any Warp Banner, but note that 5-Star Light Cones can't be obtained from Character Event Warp Banners.

You can buy Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail shops. One 5-Star Light Cone is available for 600 Undying Starlight in the Warp Exchange Store. Light Cones can also be purchased from the Forgotten Hall and Herta's Store.

The weekly Echoes of War bosses have a chance of dropping 4-Star Light Cones.
