Is Sunday Worth Pulling?

Sunday is an amazing support not just for DPS characters with Summons but also hypercarry DPS in general. Sunday gives your DPS and their Summon an extra turn using his Skill and increases their DMG. His Ultimate gives them Energy and increases their CRIT DMG.

He can also remove a debuff through his Skill and is SP-neutral. Pull for Sunday if you need a character who can advance Summons or extra turns and other offensive buffs for your hypercarry team.

Sunday's build needs CRIT DMG to strengthen the buff he gives to the DPS through his Ultimate. Sacerdos allows Sunday to boost an ally's CRIT DMG even further while giving him some SPD.

Having SPD is also valuable so Sunday can act more than once in one cycle. Make sure to have at least 30% Effect RES to activate the two-piece effect of the Broken Keel Ornament.

If Sunday uses But the Battle Isn't Over, you need use an Ornament that provides 5% Energy Regen and get hit once to guarantee a 3-turn Ultimate. Using A Grounded Ascent or an S3 But the Battle Isn't Over will allow you to 3-Turn Ultimate regardless of the 5% Energy Regen.

Recommended Stat Values

Stat Recommended Value
CRIT DMG 200% or above
SPD 1 SPD slower than DPS
160 SPD

Building Sunday just 1 or 2 Speed slower than a DPS allows the DPS to act just before Sunday. Sunday then uses his Skill to enable the DPS to act again in the current cycle. For example, if your DPS has 135 SPD, build Sunday with 134 SPD.

You can also have Sunday with 160 SPD so he can bring your DPS at the start of the turn order. If Sunday has 160 SPD, your DPS can use other stats aside from SPD that increase their own damage.

Since Sunday is a universal Harmony character, you can pair him up with any of the free DPS characters. He gives them an extra turn and provides them with offensive buffs, while also restoring their Energy through his Ultimate.

Asta provides an ATK boost and more SPD for the whole party, which results in more turns. Lynx heals and cleanses debuffs for the party.

Sunday Summons Team

The team composition above is just an example of a Summons team.

Since Sunday can also Advance Forward Summons, this makes him a great support for DPS characters who rely on Summons like Jing Yuan. He also provides them with offensive buffs and restores their Energy.

Robin provides more offensive buffs and another Advance Forward on her Ultimate, which results in even more turns. Aventurine provides Shields and increases the CRIT DMG enemies take through his Ultimate.

With the Path of Remembrance on the way, having Sunday is great since it is expected that Remembrance characters will have Summons.

Alternative Explanation

Gallagher is an SP-positive sustain and can work well in team compositions where you'll be running Sunday and Sparkle or Bronya together.
Star Rail - HuohuoHuohuo Sustain Replacement
Huohuo can heal multiple allies while also cleansing their debuffs. She can also provide Energy for the party and alleviate Sunday's Energy cost.

Star Rail - Ruan MeiRuan Mei Support Replacement
Ruan Mei can increase the party's Break Efficiency, SPD, DMG, and provide All-RES PEN. These buffs don't overlap with Sunday's buffs so she can work with him.

You can use any Hypercarry DPS like Seele, Jingliu, Jing Yuan, and many others. However, Sunday falls off with Break or DoT characters since there are better supports for them.

Pairing Sunday with Robin works well because she brings even more offensive buffs. On top of that, she gives all allies an extra turn after using her Ultimate which results in even more turns for your hypercarry DPS.

like with supports slap enough any DPS is great, but The herta as in the 5* might have different scaling, though I doubt it. New characters always have a rerun so if you'd like to play it safe you can or not depends on you.
