Should You Pull for Jiaoqiu?

Jiaoqiu is a Fire Nihility character that can increase the overall DMG enemies take through his Ashen Roast debuff and boost the Ultimate DMG enemies take through his Ultimate.

His kit is focused on debuffing enemies and enabling DPS characters to deal increased DMG to them. He can fit in DoT teams as a support and even better in teams where the DPS deals a lot of damage through their Ultimate like Acheron.

If you find his kit interesting or need a Nihility character that can increase the damage enemies take, then Jiaoqiu is a great choice.

Debuffer Support

Jiaoqiu is best built with a lot of Effect Hit Rate and SPD so that he can effectively apply Ashen Roast onto enemies before the start of their turn. Sprightly Vonwacq can help put Jiaoqiu at the start of the turn order and apply the debuffs.

If Jiaoqiu is used in DoT-centric teams, he can use the Prisoner in Deep Confinement and Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise sets to deal a lot of DMG with Ashen Roast.

Jiaoqiu needs at least 140% Effect Hit Rate to maximize the effect of his Hearth Kindle Bonus Ability. If you have Jiaoqiu's Light Cone, Those Many Springs, it is best to have 180% Effect Hit Rate to guarantee the Unarmored debuff.

As for Jiaoqiu's SPD, you can hit any breakpoint as long as he goes first before your DPS in the turn order.

Skill Inflicts Debuffs with Blast Attacks

When Jiaoqiu uses his Skill, he deals Fire DMG to a single target along with enemies adjacent to it. With this Blast Attack, there's a high chance that the main target will gain a stack of Ashen Roast.

Talent Increases DMG and Deals DoT

Jiaoqiu has a chance to inflict stacks of Ashen Roast on enemies whenever he hits them with his Basic Attack, Skill, or Ultimate. Each stack of this debuff increases the DMG taken by enemies.

Enemies with Ashen Roast stacks are considered to be inflicted with Burn as well, so they'll also take Fire DoT at the start of each turn.

Ultimate Adds Debuff Stacks and Deals AoE DMG

Jiaoqiu's Ultimate adds Ashen Roast stacks to all enemies with the debuff to match the highest number of stacks on the field. It also activates a Domain that lasts for several turns.

While the Domain is active, enemies take increased Ultimate DMG and have a chance of being inflicted with an Ashen Roast stack. With all this in effect, Jiaoqiu also deals an instance of Fire DMG to all enemies with his Ultimate.

Technique Deals DMG to All Enemies

Jiaoqiu can create a special dimension using his Technique. Upon entering combat while it's active, Jiaoqiu deals Fire DMG to all enemies on the field and has a high chance of inflicting a stack of Ashen Roast with this attack.
