Honkai: Star Rail's Version 4.0 went live on February 12, 2026 (UTC-5). Yao Guang and Sparxie are the newest character featured in Version 4.0!
Alongside a new Trailblaze Mission, the release of Planarcadia, and new events, Version 4.0 also features multiple reruns via the Indelible Coterie banner!
Free 5-Star Character Selector in 4.0
A free 5-Star Character Selector will become available in Version 4.0! Players will be able to claim a free 5-star character from the selector from February 12, 2026 (UTC-5) until the end of Version 4.2.

4.0 Character Buffs
Sparkle and Black Swan received character enhancements with the release of Version 4.0! The Novaflare event is currently available and lets players test out the 4.0 character buffs.
Fortnite Collaboration Teased
Honkai: Star Rail's Fortnite collab will release on February 26, 2026 at 4:00 PM (Pacific Time) or 7:00 PM (UTC-5). For the collab, Kafka and Blade Character Outfits will be added to Fortnite!

Honkai: Star Rail recently teased new characters for Version 4.0 on their social media. Some of these characters may be playable since they appear in the silhouette teaser for Planarcadia.
Free Golden Companion Spirit in 3.7
Players can claim a Golden Companion Spirit when logging in from the start of Version 3.7 to the end of Version 4.0! Topaz was also added as a free 5-star option in the Exchange Shop.

Players can now claim a free copy of Permansor Terrae until the end of Version 4.0!

Fate Collaboration Released on July 11
The Honkai: Star Rail Fate Collaboration was released on July 11, 2025 for all servers! The Fate Collab Banners for Saber, Archer, and their signature Light Cones are still available in Version 4.0.

Yao Guang is a 5-star character that follows the Path of Elation and uses the Physical element. Yao Guang's banner is available throughout all of Version 4.0 from February 12, 2025 (UTC-5) until March 24, 2026 (Server Time).

Sparxie is an upcoming 5-star Elation and Fire character. Sparxie's banner will be in the second Phase of Version 4.0 from March 03, 2026 until March 24, 2026.

Honkai: Star Rail 4.0 will feature multiple reruns throughout the patch. In Phase 1 of 4.0, Evernight, Hysilens, and Black Swan will have reruns from February 12, 2026 (UTC-5) until March 03, 2026 (Server Time).
For Phase 2 of Version 4.0, Cerydra, Rappa, and Sparkle will also become available again from March 03, 2026 to March 24, 2026 (Server Time).
Ashveil Release Likely in Version 4.1
Ashveil has been teased in Honkai: Star Rail's social media. Ashveil is a new 5-star Lightning character that follows the Path of The Hunt, and will likely be released in Phase 1 of Version 4.1.

Saber Released in 3.4 Phase 1
Saber is a new Wind and Destruction character released in Phase 1 of Version 3.4. As part of the Fate Stay Night Collab, Saber's Banner was released on July 11, 2025. However, its end date hasn't been announced yet.
Archer Released in 3.4 Phase 1
Alongside Saber, Archer is a Quantum and Hunt character that was released at the same time as Saber on July 11, 2025. Archer's banner also doesn't have a fixed end date yet.
