Is Welt Worth It?

Welt is a Support unit that is capable of dealing a decent amount of Toughness DMG and can Slow enemies down. He can also delay an enemy's turn using his Ultimate, giving more chances for your other units to attack them.

If you want a Hybrid Support unit that can deal DMG and delay enemy turns, Welt is worth pulling for.

Debuffer Sub-DPS Build

This Welt build focuses on turning him into a Hybrid DPS and a Debuffer. Welt would need around 67% Effect Hit Rate to apply his Imprisonment consistently.

For his Rope Ornament, you can either go with ATK% for more DPS or Energy Regeneration so he can delay enemy turns more frequently with his Ultimate.

For Acheron specifically, Welt can equip the Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat Light Cone to increase his chances of debuffing an enemy.

Skill	★★★★★ - Highest Priority Improving Welt's Skill increases the damage he deals and increases the chances of applying a SPD debuff on the enemy. This Trace has equal priority with his Ultimate.
Ultimate	★★★★★ - Highest Priority Leveling up Welt's Ultimate Increases the damage and further delays an enemy's action. This Trace has equal priority with his Skill.

E1	★★★★☆ - Good Greatly increases Welt's damage. This Eidolon further improves his role as a potential Imaginary damage dealer.
E2	★★☆☆☆ - Situational Welt will have to attack multiple times to get value out of the Energy Regen.
E4	★★★☆☆ - Decent A decent upgrade if you are up against enemies that have some resistance to debuffs. However, the multi-hit properties of his Skill are usually enough to make up for it in single-target scenarios.
E6	★★★☆☆ - Decent Adds an extra hit on Skill for more DMG and extra Breaking power, but not a necessity.

Potent Toughness Breaker

Welt's Skill will bounce off of multiple enemies, which means if you are facing off multiple enemies he could easily Weakness Break with Imaginary.

Something to note about moves that deal extra damage on random enemies is that in Single Target situations, the attack all focus on the single remaining enemy, making it easier to Break its Toughness bar.

Slow Down Enemies with Imprison

Imprisonment is a status condition afflicted to enemies when their Toughness Bar is broken by an Imaginary Element character. This will delay their action and reduce their SPD.

Use His Technique to Slow Every Enemy

You can use Welt's Technique to inflict Imprison on enemies before a battle starts. This will affect all enemies in combat.

Slow Enemies Down to Do More Attacks

Welt can turn the tide of battle by slowing enemies down. You can use this defensively by using his Ultimate during the enemies' turn to have your characters move ahead.

You can also use this to move multiple times per Cycle, like applying multiple stacks in DoT Teams or setting up in Hyper Carry Teams.

Deal Extra Damage to Imprisoned Enemies

Welt's Talent makes him deal more damage to Slowed down enemies. This allows him to also be a potent Sub-DPS for any team.

Use Ultimate to Weaken Enemies

After unlocking his A2, casting Welt's Ultimate will increase the damage taken by enemies.

This debuff also stacks on top of DEF Reduction such as Pela's Ultimate or the Light Cone Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat.

Exploit Weakness Broken Enemies

After unlocking Welt's A6 passive, allies that attack an enemy with a broken Toughness Bar will deal 20% more damage.

If an enemy is weak to Imaginary, use Welt's Ultimate to break their Toughness Bar to slow them down and let your other Party members deal increased damage before the enemy recuperates.

E1	Legacy of Honor After Welt uses his Ultimate, his abilities are enhanced. The next 2 times he uses his Basic ATK or Skill, deals additional DMG to the target equal to 50% of his Basic ATK's DMG multiplier or 80% of his Skill's DMG multiplier respectively.
E2	Conflux of Stars When his Talent is triggered, Welt regenerates 3 Energy.
