Clear the Acorn Gathering Minigame in the West of Hyrule Field
The Steel Trap is a reward for completing the Acorn Gathering Minigame found west of Hyrule Field.
To earn it, clear the minigame in 40 seconds or less.
How to Use the Steel Trap
Complete the Endless Stomach Side Quest

The Steel Trap is essential to complete the Endless Stomach side quest. After acquiring the Steel Trap, speak with Dampe and request to create an Automaton. Choose the Endless Stomach side quest and summon a Deku Baba Lv. 2 Echo on the middle platform in the center of the room.
Dampe will notice the Steel Trap in your inventory and craft the High-Teku Baba, completing the quest.
