Unlocked as Part of the Chop 'em in Two! Side Quest
Allowing Dampe to build the Roboblin Automaton will also initiate the Chop 'em in Two! side quest.
During this quest, you'll discover the other key ingredient needed to create Roboblin, the Heirloom Katana.
How to Get the Roboblin Automaton
Bring Echoes and Items to Dampe

To get the Roboblin Automaton you will need to talk to Dampe. He will provide you with vague descriptions of Items and Echoes that you need to summon on the platform in the center of the room.
For this Automaton, the required Items and Echoes are Sword Moblin and Heirloom Katana. Sword Moblins are commonly found roaming the Eastern Hyrule Field.
The Heirloom Katana can be found by completing six challenges in the Slumber Dojo.
You Can Use Variations of Echoes
Keep in mind that variations of the Sword Moblin Echo, like Sword Moblin Lv. 2 and Sword Moblin Lv. 3 can be used as substitutes if Sword Moblin isn't available.

How to Use the Roboblin Automaton
AoE Slash Damage
Attacks surrounding mobs with its flashing blade. Its wind-up before the attack is long but its slash is deadly to foes around it.
