Check out this 16-second Devourer clear using our Blair Hard Mode Build!
Note: In our showcase, we don't have the Shot Focus Descendant module slotted in, which will further boost your damage, as suggested under our modules section!
Backdraft | Mid-Air Maneuvering | Walk a Tightrope | MP Accelerant | Focus on Fire | Focus on Dimension |
Shot Focus | MP Conversion | Skill Extension | Increased DEF | Increased HP | Nimble Fingers |
More Modules can be seen by scrolling horizontally.
The build focuses on utilizing the Backdraft module to shift all of Blair's damage and critical hit buffs coming from Extinguish and Pitmaster towards his firearm, which, for this build, is the Enduring Legacy.
You don't have to invest in a lot of descendant modules in this build aside from those that will give you survival, Skill Cooldown Reduction, and Skill Duration for consistency. The primary damage-boosting module would be Walk a Tightrope, while the rest are just to add in a few damage to your skills.
Modules Guide: List of Modules
Module Change | Explanation | ||
---|---|---|---|
Backdraft | > | Classic Chef | Allows you to reach 100% Critical Hit Rate with skills |
Increased HP | > | Battle of Stamina | Trades HP for a smoother rotation brought by additional Skill Duration |
Skill Extension | > | Skill Expansion | Trading Skill Range for Skill Duration, which is more valuable when mobbing |
Shot Focus | > | Skill Insight | Allows you to reach 100% Skill Critical Hit Rate with 5 Flame Zones |
MP Accelerant | > | Skill Concentration | Goes perfectly with the guaranteed Critical Hit Rate |
Walk a Tightrope | > | MP Collector | Trading damage for MP management, which is recommended when mobbing |
Note that some of these modules don't have the same socket type, so you might not be able to fully upgrade all modules when swapping sets.
For mobbing, it could be quite difficult to rely on your weapon alone as you have multiple targets to deal with. These alternative module recommendations allow you to rely on your skills—particularly Burn Taste and Deadly Cuisine—for AoE clearing.
The Classic Chef module, together with Skill Insight, will give you a total of 100% Skill Critical Rate with 5 stacks of Blaze Up. Empower this synergy with modules that provide Critical Hit Damage, Skill Range, Skill Duration, and MP management to effectively deal with groups of enemies.
Weapon | Substat Priority |
---|---|
Enduring Legacy | • Bonus Firearm ATK (vs. Colossus)
• Firearm ATK • Firearm Critical Rate • Firearm Critical Hit Damage • Rounds Per Magazine |
The Enduring Legacy is the best weapon for Blair due to the weapon's innately high Critical Hit Rate and Damage, combined with its unique ability to reduce enemy resistance to Fire and boost damage to burning enemies. Furthermore, this weapon has a large magazine capacity, allowing you to shower enemies with bullets for long durations.
Enduring Legacy: How to Get and Stats
Sharp Precision Shot | Concentrate Support Ammo | Concentration Priority | Action and Reaction | Better Concentration |
Expand Weapon Charge | Better Insight | Fire Enhancement | Fire Rate UP | Rifling Reinforcement |
More Modules can be seen by scrolling horizontally.
For the weapon modules, you'd want those that would give you Firearm ATK, Critical Hit Rate and Damage, and Magazine Capacity to increase the damage output of your weapon. Fire Enhancement is the default module that goes with Blair's element and is boosted by the Enduring Legacy's unique ability.
The best offensive weapon module that completes the build is the Sharp Precision Shot module. With Enduring Legacy's large magazine capacity, you can easily reach Sharp Precision Shot's max stack, which will give you a total of +20% Fire Rate, -50% Recoil, and +60% Firearm ATK!
Note: In our showcase, we used a secondary gun to house the Firing Fiesta module, which allowed us to start firing without consuming bullets upon swapping back to the Enduring Legacy.
Equipment | Substat Priority |
---|---|
Burning Phase Reactor | • Skill Cooldown Reduction
• Skill Duration • Skill Critical Hit Damage |
Annihilation Auxiliary Power | • Max HP
• Fire Resistance |
Annihilation Sensor | • Max MP
• Chill Resistance • MP Recovery in Combat |
Annihilation Memory | • Def
• Electric Resistance |
Annihilation Processor | • Max Shield
• Toxic Resistance |
Note that External Components with set bonuses have fixed main stats.
The best Reactor for this build is a Burning Phase Reactor, which gives Fire and Dimension damage boost. For substats, we recommend prioritizing Skill Cooldown Reduction and Skill Duration to have better uptime and rotation with your skills. Damage-boosting substats are less prioritized since most of your damage will come from your weapon.
The best External Component set for Blair is the Annihilation Set. The set bonus can give you up to 26% Firearm ATK if your HP goes lower than 50%. This perfectly synergizes with the Walk a Tightrope module, increasing your Firearm ATK at the cost of HP!
Equipment | Substat Priority |
---|---|
Volcanic Auxiliary Power | • Max HP
• Fire Resistance |
Volcanic Sensor | • Max MP
• MP Recovery in Combat • Chill Resistance |
Annihilation Memory | • Def
• Electric Resistance • MP Recovery Multiplier |
Annihilation Processor | • Max Shield
• Toxic Resistance |
For mobbing, you can choose to go with a combination of Volcanic and Annihilation components to gain +6% Fire Skill Power and +5.7% Skill Duration. This will make your skill rotations smoother and give a slight FIre Skill Power increase.
Preferably, you would want to go with the recommended pieces above to have 3 out of 4 components providing Max HP as their main stats.

How to Play Blair |
---|
|
If you're going to apply the alternative modules for mobbing recommended above, the primary skill you'll be dealing damage with is Burn Taste.
The usual rotation would be casting your Deadly Cuisine, followed by one Blaze Up to get 100% Skill Critical Hit Rate. Once all 5 Flame Zones are on the floor, you can cast Burn Taste twice before the zones disappear. Make sure to cast Extinguish to get MP back and boost your Skill Power Modifier for the next rotation.
Alternate between casting Blaze Up and Burn Taste until your Deadly Cuisine becomes available to repeat the rotation all over again.
Always make sure to use Extinguish before your Flame Zones expire to get a significant amount of MP back and to receive damage-boosting buffs. When using Backdraft, make sure to use your Extinguish after putting down 3 Flame Zones to get the maximum buff to your Weak Point Damage.

Note that although this is great to have, in the early stages it's best to prioritize survival, so go with whatever External Component will offer you more HP, defense, and elemental resistances.
