In The First Descendant, you can use the jump function to climb small heights such as low rocks and slopes. However, if you want to climb higher places such as rooftops, it's best to use the grappling hook instead.

To jump, simply press the designated button above. Press the button twice in quick succession to perform a double jump!

Aim at the Top Edge of a Wall

The First Descendant - Aim on a Wall
To use the Grappling Hook, find a wall or an edge you want to climb. Make sure to hover the pointer at the top of the edge to climb up to another level. Otherwise, you'll just end up pulling yourself to the wall.

Use the Grappling Hook to Climb

Next, press the button designated for your grappling hook to activate it. This will immediately latch onto your target area and pull you towards it, allowing you to climb.
